With our upcoming schedule, which is suspect to say the least, favors us going 13-0 (although we have to play oakland who has played well). Then we play Memphis, which I think we win. After that, our 8 game SEC scheudle favors us heavily, with FL being the only ranked team we play (24). We could easily start out 22-0.... although it'll be tough, especially without Pearl for those first 8.

There is no reason to think we can't start 22-0

Every basketball team will lose some games they shouldn't, or have a tough time with teams on their level. It's ridiculous to expect that, IMO. Possible? Yeah, but I'd bet money it doesn't happen. Not because this isn't a fantastic team..but there's just too much that can happen in basketball.

We'll probably slip up somewhere. But there isn't any reason we shouldn't be favored in all of our games through January. The only games that really scare me are Vandy, UConn in CT, UGA on the road (mainly because of last year), and maybe UF or Memphis, although neither have been impressive at all this year.

He said there is no reason to think we won't start 22-0. Don't pretend that it isn't crossing your mind.

It's not - because while we are probably better than the rest of the teams ahead of us - we are going to just play plain bad or sho0t poorly a game and lose 1-4ish games in there. Who knows how we'll do in the SEC games without Pearl on the bench.

I agree. Given our schedule, we should be favored in every game we play. Bumps in the road always happen, but who knows? We didn't stumble today against possibly the best team we'll play all season

13-0 sure. 22-0...Thats a long stretch. We'll see.

Definitely a long stretch, and not likely, but it is possible. Last year I wouldn't have had the confidence to say it's even possible, especially having the number of upperclassmen we had. This is a very talented team and will only get better.

Some of these are:

1. Cold shooting.
2. Opponent's uncharacteristic hot shooting.
3. Injury.
4. Head coach having to sit out 8 games.
5. New Year's Day arrest for guns and drugs.

Just saying.

Try harder bro. I'm sure you could've worked a women's basketball comment in there somewhere.

I forgot #6.

Pat Summit pulls rank as being the #1 head coach on campus and kicks the men out of TBA. The men are forced to practice at the TREC in between already scheduled ZUMBA classes.

If we can do this in Pittsburgh, there's no game on our schedule that we can't win. However, there are games on our schedule that we won't win. I just don't know which ones.

We got a great team this season and im thinking we start off 13-0 to. Memphis is young and talented, this should be a good competetive game but I expect us to beat Memphis High in a close one. I dont think we will start of 22-0, when Pearls 8 game ban begins I don't know what to expect fro the team. Will the team pull together like last season after losing playings or fold and play bad? Im guessin we come together in those 8 games winning the majority of them and finishing with 30 something wins on the season.
