Storm the field or act like we’ve been there?

You're probably right that it won't happen. It usually doesn't. That is, unless there is some dramatic finish to go with all the other factors at play. I just don't see the point in trying to quantify who "deserves" something like that. It's an outpouring of emotion that occurs spontaneously. It's not something you can plan or set criteria for acceptable use of.

I can set some criteria. If we beat a team ranked 20 that lost to UK at home, then no storming the field. Criteria set.

If you want every sports show, podcast, or otherwise to take shots at Tennessee then storm the field.

Win and hit the locker room. Tennessee is better than that

You'll probably want to print some pamphlets up then. I don't think the student section will be able to hear you Saturday, if the moment comes. Maybe stick a coupon on there or something, or they won't read them.

I love all of the high and mighties acting like we're too good for this. We've sucked for the last 20 years and the last time that we did it, we won a Natty.
It’s not going to happen in any way shape or form. Ever again

You don't storm the field for this game. You storm the field if you beat Alabama. This isn't an upset win here. It's expected - UT is absolutely going to dismantle the Gators and send their jort wearing loudmouthed fans back home with a big case of the red-butt.

Players: Yawn, say "ya'll better than Akron", and go shower.

Fans be preoccupied with leaving 5 minutes before game ends.

Hard pass for me.

Let’s blow the roof off, and sing Rocky Top all night long, but not storm the field for these bums.

I'm not sure I can imagine what this board will be like if we lose this game. No words for it. It will certainly be a sight to behold. Hoping we don't have to find out.
It will make the Nebraska meltdown I was following for fun from around the NCAA look like pee wee $hite

Volnation is by far the best cfb forum/site but with that also comes by far the most epic meltdowns

Instead of storming the field we'll crash the board, most likely. It's just another type of emotional outpouring.

Just to be clear and to make sure we’re all on the same page: We’re all definitely storming the field after our guaranteed victory Saturday, right?

Florida is mediocre. Yes they are a monkey on our back. Wont look good making that our super bowl though. If we beat this incredible Georgia team later and that places us in 1st in the east. Ill allow it. Yes I know its on road but I say rip down the hedges of Sanford. Haha

It's not the sort of thing you can plan. It'll happen or it won't in the moment.
I loved it in 99 when we were going to play at Florida after finally beating them and storming the field in 98, and [I forget the Florida player's name], but when he was interviewed prior to the game said "If we [Florida] win the game. I guarantee you won't see our fans storming the field".

It was the ultimate insult that proved his bigger point. Tennessee doesn't obviously believe they belong and it shows.

So hell no to storming the field.

Can't say I remember that. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
