How good UF is this year doesn't matter. The Gators are Tennessee's kryptonite, even when they're bad. Both teams are ranked, GameDay is in town, the Stadium will be packed, loud, and checkered. If the ending is dramatic and a win, the stands will empty. No one is going to do a statistical assessment of how good Florida is first.

Seems like there was storm the field talk a few years back. Not sure who we were even playing but there was a write up in the Knoxville media about and added security. Then we lost. That was pretty bad.

Unlike Michigan we VOLUNTEERS don't storm the field after convincingly beating a very beatable team in a blowout...we have higher expectations than that. This is VOL COUNTRY and he have the highest standards. Unless it's a walk off game winning play a storming is absolutely uncalled for.

Storm Troopers were cool in their day but..... not today. UT has a job to do. Do it. Hold your head high, be courteous, no trash talking and get inside the locker room and celebrate there. Also, no need for entire team to lead the band in 100 versus of Rocky Top either. Don't give other teams bulletin board material, and that goes for fans as well. You paid for a seat in the stands, not on the field. Cheer, Scream, Yell, Holler, Clap, Whistle but, not on the field please. (not unless Coach Heupel asks everyone to storm Shields Watkins Field...)

Sorry, but against teams we are supposed to pulverize, I have to disagree. SEC Championship game? Hell Yes. Beat GA, AL or FL - possibly. But Zips and Cupcake Teams???????

No one is storming the field. And it would be dumb if anyone did.

We have and it was warranted. This isn’t 98 and that’s not a top 5 Gator team that’s going to be on the other sideline . That’s a 2-1 Florida team that squeaked by USF on Saturday.

No FL is not worthy of storming the Field and bunch of people get hurt or someone killed! Act like a fanbase with some sense

Yeah, all this is making me nervous. Hope the team stays away from social media this week. They sure don't need to think this is a gimme game like the fanbase seems to think.

You're probably right that it won't happen. It usually doesn't. That is, unless there is some dramatic finish to go with all the other factors at play. I just don't see the point in trying to quantify who "deserves" something like that. It's an outpouring of emotion that occurs spontaneously. It's not something you can plan or set criteria for acceptable use of.
