(Speculation)Miles in talks of finishing a deal

Championships. RECENTLY. If he couldn't do it there with more talent, he won't get it done here, in the same conference . He hasn't done anything since 2011 and avg 3rd in the west since

So, let me ask you, is third better than last? Is a Championship in the last 10 years sufficient?

What has any coaches at Tennessee done in the same timeframe as Les?

What is the worst season record for Les in the last 10 years? The Last 5?

Who exactly do you think that has won a National Championship in the last 10 years would take the Tennessee job? Seriously, I'm interested in your thoughts.

I think over all Les is really going to be more in the long run. He can bring stability to a VOLS squad that has needed it for a long time. IF you couple him with a great OC(Tee) and a great DC. He can and will win the EAST.

That's enough to win the SEC these days.

Honestly... I'm starting to think Brent makes more and more sense... From what I know about Phil is that he loves offensive football... He wants to be more involved in the process moving forward and brent is a good friend to him and a donor in sevier county... His name has been floated around and I could see it happening....

Also something worth noting is that Phil also has connections with a certain coach in Boise State.... I can tell you he is a very respectable guy and is a very smart football coach.... And that's why the name peterson keeps poping up...
Under Currie we had no shot... But under Phil we will atleast have his ear...

I hope Miles comes to UT. He could build a great team in Knoxville and he's a guy who thinks outside the box, which is a great asset for a head coach in college football.

He has a great winning record and has one the SEC title more than once and a National Championship in the best conference there is. An awesome resume, don't you think?

Doesn't know anything about offensive scheme. Doesn't know anything about defensive scheme. Didn't know 57 seconds was less than a minute until a few years ago.

Was really good at recruiting Louisiana. You know. Like every other coach at LSU since the dawn of time.

Eats grass. Literally no redeemable qualities. Can't help but think think the people wanting him are the people who said I was crazy for wanting Butch fires after last year. The people not paying attention.

I get the feeling your hunch is wrong

I think it's right. No one is jumping on the bandwagon of a 4-8 team that's been trashed by the national media morons. That's like people scrambling to get on the titanic after it hit the iceberg.

Win the East? With this Tennessee team? Absolutely not. No coach could win the East with our current team. Regardless of what we want to believe, the fact is we are way behind almost every team in the East. Just look at Georgia v Auburn. I mean they would curbstomp us again just as easily.

We need more team speed, toughness, discipline and more talent. If Les is hired, I dont expect him to be here more than 4 years. That might be enough time to get us winning the East but I highly doubt it. I think if Miles is hired, he wins 5-6 games max next year. Our team is woefully bad.

Hmmm, so how did he win all those games? How was he able to beat Saban and be very competitive with him? How was it that last year SEC country ranked all the SEC head coaches records against ranked opponents and Miles was second to the GOAT?

Saban was at a 63% against ranked opponents.
Miles was at 62.8% against ranked opponents.

Explain how that can be for a guy who is not a good coach?
