Souce's Coffee Discussion Thread

Yes, it's very common for Vietnamese people to add flavorings to coffee, ranging from the ubiquitous sweetened condensed milk (for Cà phê sữa đá) to more unique additions like egg yolk, coconut cream, avocado, and even spices, creating a rich tradition of flavored coffee drinks beyond just black coffee. While strong Robusta beans form the base, these additions are key to creating diverse and popular beverages like Egg Coffee (Cà phê trứng) or Coconut Coffee (Cà phê dừa).

What did you do with Behr

@PEPPERJAX I received a package of Trung Nguyen drip grind coffee. I was a little surprised by the ingredients
- arabica, robusta, excelsa, catmor
- coffee flavor, butter flavor, cocoa flavor

Is it common for Vietnamese to add flavorings to coffee?
I’ve never had Vietnamese coffee. I dated a girl that was from Vietnam once when I was 18. We discussed music and movies instead of beverages.

Looked it up on Amazon, the one I saw was like $34 for 32oz. I saw someone say Costco has it for $16.99 @12oz. That sound right?
I paid roughly $17-18 for 32 oz at costco. Never really bought coffee there before but considering how expensive it is at Kroger now and their poor choice selection figured I'd branch out

Price at Costco makes sense maybe I misunderstood the comment. Thats not bad if its good.

I really like the Bullet Proof French Kick Dark to alternate with the Starbucks Scorched bitter chit.

Costco had a few other brands I'd never heard of before. Might try next time. But this one had 100% specialty grade label which is usually sign of good beans

I picked up a 36oz bag of the Rocky Mountain Thunder Dark Roast for $23 at Sam's Club.

I had never seen this brand in stores before.

It's really good. I made my first pot this morning.

I also picked up a 40oz bag of this (also $23) at Sam's Club.

I have not tried it yet.
