I remember someone suggested he transfer to MIssouri since he still had the black stripe he could use the same helmet there was at least one Bye Felicia too it was pretty bad not surprised it was deleted

If they just aren't good enough, that's on the coaches. And that's another whole ball of wax.

If you are going to post about a player, the least you could do is act like they might see what you post and won't think you are a big Jackwagon, for what you post. They may think my post are irrelevant, but they won't think I'm a Jackwagon for what I say, unless they get offended by me running down other programs, I will do that, and if they don't like it, convince me why I should stop.

And just because other fan bases are a bunch of jackwagons doesn't mean, that the Vol fan base has to be a bunch of jackwagons.

I will give my all for Tennessee today!

I don't understand the difference between folks bashing posters and those bashing players or coaches for whatever reason. The mods may not take kindly to this but if you hold a majority of people that post on here in such low esteem due to their opinions maybe this ain't the place for you.

Anyone being even remotely objective knows that there have been whole threads on here ripping players. Malik, Blair...Man I remember Josh Smith's freshmen year when he had some drops. It was disgraceful.

Our coaches watch tape and evaluate hundreds or thousands of kids every year.

Up and coming kids from both high school and the JUCO ranks.

Then they probably talk to the kids on the phone, then make personal visits and all after talking to their coaches and teachers to try to get a read on how the kid acts, his grades and many other things.

Then our coaches make their best GUESS at which kids we need to fill our needs.

They have to GUESS how much better a player the kid can become with our coaching.

They have to GUESS where each players ceiling really is and if they've reached their ceiling and just can't get much better no matter how hard they work at getting better.

There's lots of GUESSING that goes into things at the College and the NFL levels and NOT 1 college or NFL team always gets it right.

Sometimes a 4* or 5* has already reached their ceiling and just can't get much better.

Sometimes a heisTman trophy winner ends up as not being very good or a total bust in the NFL too.

When a player reaches his ceiling he just can't improve and get better no matter how badly he wants to or how hard they work at it.

Coaches in college and the NFL spend endless hours evaluating players but no matter what some players just won't live up to expectations.

That's just part of the reality of football.

You NEED scout team players and you NEED some of those players that will stay Loyal to their college to help make the starters and backups even better.

Some players may never see the field during games much at all but they're keeping their grades up and giving their all the best they know how to help make the team better.

Bashing and belittling them won't help them become a better player.

If they're not helping the team in some way then buTch will decide and help that player find a scholly at a lower level school where they might get to play more.

Try to keep a level of class here folks because we all bleed Tennessee Orange and love ur footVol team.

We also KNOW for a fact that players, their families and recruits and their families visit us here on VN to learn about Tennessee footVol and we do NOT want to chase off any players that may someday become a star for us.

Now ranked and climbing to the Top on Rocky Top...VFL...GBO!!!

Exactly right, it is sad that supposedly grown men have to get so bent out of shape on a message board. Most of these jackwagons wouldn't know what it takes to make a team.

I don't believe I ever said players don't get bashed here. If I did, then the post was poorly worded on my part.

Players get bashed needlessly all the time, that wasn't my point. I originally asked the question because I was trying to determine whether, in this specific case, he was truly outraged at "bashing" or if he was upset at people who were simply critical of Blair's performance (or lack of in this case). He couldn't give examples, though, so make of it what you will.

I've spent more time in this thread than I should have and I've been around long enough to know better. I'll exit quietly.

It is pretty hard to quote something that was deleted. Reader is right that there are a bunch of people who take stuff way too far. Unfortunately - there are idiots everywhere and people raised without manners so if we have to deal with these people in day to day life we definitely will on a message board.
