“Sometimes when you have someone on staff that you trust and he is right there and gives ideas and suggestions and part of the game plan, you know he is ready then it is a no-brainer,” the SEC veteran head coach told Vols Wire. “If you don’t have one that is ready, then you take your time and make sure who you hire is the right fit.”
Profound insight.
To me the article itself says nothing, he gave every scenerio and said you take your time and find the right fit.....well obviously he is taking his time.It says everything. Saban coached at two SEC schools and made every OC hire fit around his player personnel. He is an active head coach and can't put his name on it.
How do you know Tee is a great offensive mind? Are we seeing his offense or him running or co-running someone elses offense? If Tee came back, I would be ecstatic. I understand he spurned us many times, but he's still Tee, and a great offensive mind. I think the more VFLs we have on staff, the better.
Bill Curry coached at 2 SEC schools if my recollection is correct. Dan Mullen coached at 2 SEC schools as did Will Muschamp. Houston Nutt too and then there are plenty of assistants who have jumped around to more than 1 school. It could be any number of people.
Does anyone else think our next OC is comming from either Clemson or Alabama. With Pruitt's connections with Bama, kinds looks like it might be comming from there.
I truly believe it'll be Chaney. He'd be a great fit and loves east tn.
