Maybe. Vol fans that watched the clip probably could see what he was getting at. I'm not saying that his statement has tanked the OC search. Just that it's not something smart to say when you're being recorded and need an offensive coordinator. Maybe it soured one OC out there. Maybe not. There's no positive that can be had. If you want to stick to recruit discussion, the just say that. No need to say anything else.

I believe several, enough to matter, just stopped giving a chit and they've made up their minds they'll do it their way and no one is gonna tell them any differently.

Some here think he's weak because he didn't get more out of them and said he needs better players. I believe he could have done better and he needs better players.

I didn't say he should have said it nicer at all. I meant he was misunderstood, because it wasn't plain enough for lots of people, thus people saying he says oc is overrated. I knew what he meant, but it appears many others didn't.

Add to that the troubles he had with Helton this past season, his reputation of not having good relationships with folks he works with etc it doesnt look good.

But dont mention that to folks that thibks he hung the moon. Its gets them upset if you dont agree with them.

Pruitt's plan is to do nothing till Spring and then name.........................Friend or Osovet ...............or both as co-coordinators with Friend controlling offensive line and running game and Osovet QB coach and passing game. I would prefer Osovet with his past results. By then, fans
would be in panic mode and accept anyone. Osovet is very interesting and is being wasted in his present job.

Coach Pruitt nor Athletic Director Fulmer have asked for our opinions and I trust that they are doing their jobs.
