Anyone else playing Dispatch?
Its not much of a video game, but what it is is insanely fun and funny.
I describe it more as an interactive comic book than modern free choice/your decisions matter video game.
The video game aspect is you as a dispatcher who has a team of misfit ex-cons you send out to deal with various issues. You have to blend their abilities and traits to handle a given situation based on cues. Much more of a puzzle game rather than action/fighting.
By that i mean the results are based on a "dice roll" rather than controlling various characters to directly (1st or 3rd person). There are some interactive fight scenes which are engaging and fast paced but that isn't the main draw. Its mostly about the characters various stats and traits and how they pair with the mission and a given teammate you may or may not use.
I am about half way thru but having an amazing time. The characters and writing are absolutely top tier. I actually find myself looking forward more to the cut scenes rather than the parts of the game where you do more stuff. But even in the cut scenes there are things to do in interactive mode.
Easy to pick up even without a real tutorial. I haven't tried the cinematic mode, but definitely think the interactive is the way to go. Its 30 bucks I think, which seems a bit steep for how much game you are getting, caveat of only being half way thru, but the quality and fun is hard to find.
