Slice would like some help

Saw this on VN for a while...been something I've taken a while to respond to. First of all, I pray you find a cure, and some comfort during the hard times. My wife and I will definitely look to donate what we can. Hope it helps. But things like this make me consider VN on a larger scale.

I used to think VN was a joke, just a place to screw around. But over time, even in the Zone, I learned VN was a place of caring and love. VN truly has some great people. I've know Slice for a long time, never that well, but he's always been a constant presence and a good guy. I've been through my own battles during the time I've joined VN. Even though I'm not a full fledged VFL, I'll always consider myself a VN'er. I hope VN can rally around Slice and Red. They are outstanding people. Lets do this for them.

To all on VolNation,

Stop and think about how you would hope people would help you in your time of need. What if this were you, or your wife, or God forbid, one of your children? We're not asking for monstrous donations. We're only asking you give what you can. Help us help Red. We live in a world where many have forgotten what it means to "love thy neighbor." You have it in your power to help make a positive difference in someone's life. Please, don't let that opportunity slip through your hands. Don't be so jaded by society that you fail to see the need of an individual. Helping those in need is a noble act, an act to be proud of. It is not throwing away money. We are the Volunteer Nation! There is nothing we can't do if we work together. So please, please, donate whatever you possibly can. Every donation is deeply appreciated, and will be used to help a good person to get the treatment she needs.

To all those who have already shown their support, many thanks, from Slice, Red, and all their friends. To those who have not donated, there is still time. Please, help us make a difference.

Donated.... Put up on my Facebook also....Kinda harsh knowing 100k fills the stadium and there are millions volunteers and we are not at 20k yet..With that many people just $1 donations hell .50¢ would happen over night..I donated cause I know how it feels to feel awful everyday .Only 35 and haven't been able to really even do any real physical stuff with my 2 boys since I was 28...Hope you guys get the total and pray for a good doctor...

Thank you! Somebody gets it! It's a shame that so many so-called "Volunteers" haven't contributed. Obviously the spirit that earned this state its nickname lives on in only a handful of us. People have apparently forgotten what it really means to be a Vol. I'm disappointed how far away from the goal we are. I honestly thought that more people on here would give a damn. Guess I was wrong. Faced with a chance to change someone's life for the better, and many have decided to turn their back and do nothing. And we wonder what's wrong with the world today. When you stand back and do nothing, you can't expect change in the world to occur.

For those who have done nothing, I hope you never find yourself in a situation where you need the help of others only to be ignored.

I've been meaning to get around to this, but have been very tight on money recently. Just donated now, and while it wasn't the largest of donations, I hope it helps out some.

To those that aren't in a financial position to donate, Keep the prayers going because this can help too.

Warmer weather is finally getting here, I hope, So maybe some of you can organize a cake sale, car wash, get stuff donated for a yard sale, mow a lawn or think of something you can do to help the donations along a bit.

Every little bit will help so think and figure out something to do to help with this fine effort.
