Sidewalk alumni necks

I prefer Zebra Sarasas. You're a worthless peon, obviously.

Be careful, if I stabbed you in the neck with my Pilot G-2, there are so many of them sold, it would be difficult to trace it back to me....:)

Edit: I hope Volnation posts are inadmissable in court.....:)

So when you are an actual alumni of UT and have a diploma you will have a vested interest in the success of the university. Until then you are on a lower tier of fandom than diploma holders.

And to answer an earlier question a diploma in and of itself does not make a fan.

So if your DAD pay'd for your diploma does that trump your diploma and make your dad the bigger fan. Since he seems to have the vested interest at this point.
just sayin........

UT Grad here. Doesn't make me any more of a fan than non-grad. We all make up the fan base equally.

Well, apparently, he only requires a diploma... so a Degree is automatically on a higher level.

out of curiosity how do you obtain a diploma without a degree? other than the honorary diplomas given to guests of the university?

Also, have we defined a former alumni? can you rescind your alumni status?

While I do believe everything I posted so far, it should be apparent by now that I am just trying to get some humorous responses. I will give all you a high five on game day...even if i do have to wash my hands afterwards.

Not fictional. There is a guy that posts here that's a tOSU student but a huge Tennessee fan.

What about this?

Guy attends Tennessee as a freshman, can't afford out of state tuition and graduates from Ohio State. He's sat in Tennessee's student section as a student/fan. Is he a "real" fan?

No. He could've taken out student loans if he was that big of a fan....that's what i did.

That California liberal sunshine is getting to you. You need to pick a side. Mediators always end-up getting flamed.

He was born in Pennsylvania I believe.

That guy is a shell shocked Vietnam veteran. I feel bad for him every time somebody interviews him.

I feel bad for him as well. I would hope that if I ever had gotten to the point of slurring speach and speaking politcal nonsense, that my family or closest of friends would tell me to hush and not make a full of myself. This man , either has no family or no friends to tell him the truth and that is what is sad.

the dad would definitely earn some degree of fandom for his efforts but the son with the degree would be of a higher rank....do i need to make a chart? i think i will.

Degree not required for fandom. Those hung-up on fans being graduates are usually young and dumb. Most will outgrow it. I did.

TJ,

We had this argument a few years back on GVX....and you said the same thing..."I'm old so..."....blah blah blah.

I have three degrees from UT and am currently doing a residency there. OP can bow at my feet and worship my fandom.

To make the claim that you are more of a fan as a grad is ridiculous. I earned my BS from UTK but that doesn't make me any more of a fan than someone who hasn't IMO. To add, I earned my MBA from Alabama but I would cheer for Auburn over them anyday.

Wait ... i've always heard that the Vols play for Tennessee ... half if not more of the Alumni isn't even from Tennessee ... does that mean that the Vols are not playing for a large part of the Alumni to begin with?
