Imo, if either shrout or maurer had been given the reps in practice this year that was given to jg, one of them would be ready. But from what I have read on the practice reports, jg again has taken all reps with the 1's. Again no one able to actually compete for the job. I keep thinking a light will come on in our coaches heads that jg is a good practice player, but not game player. I read sc forum and they were even saying jg will probably be worst qb they face this year, and if he had hit wide open receivers we would have won by 20 plus points. This is from sc forum.
I was hoping to see JG play his senior year like Crompton did his... a jaw-dropping transformation from earlier poor play.... but instead, against SC we saw the same bad tendencies as last year-- he doesn't process what he sees on the field and make good decisions. Pruitt wants it to be a good story because it would show JG has been coached well, but he just doesn't have the skills. I feel bad for JG because it looks like he trained hard in the offseason.
