Sherrone Moore fired

Kenny Dillingham surging in the betting markets to be the next UM coach. Imagine failing ass backwards into Dillingham because Sherrone Moore lacked self-control.

MeatChicken has a high opinion of themselves.

If this is their shopping list, how did they end up with numbnutz Sherrone to start with

Charged with Felony Home Invasion for busting in to the apartment of the young mistress. That's pretty serious.

The whole thing really makes Moore look like a mentally unstable creep.

Saw he had messaged an OF girl AFTER he was released from jail going off on her for talking about it

Folks, You just can't fix stupid.

It’s pitiful, really. I laugh at Michigan getting what they deserve, but Moore is looking like a man who needs help in a bad way.

That's the rub of it all.

I'm not so sure that Michigan is really getting what they deserve. If anything, they very well may end up with a better coach than Moore anyway.

The folks in Ann Arbor were about ready to move on from Moore anyway and this just provided a convenient little reason.

Sure they end up with egg on their face for a minute, but in the end could very well end up stronger for next season as a result

I would gladly trade some shame two weeks before Christmas (when everyone except us diehards is distracted by other things anyway) for a top notch team in the fall. In the end, wouldn't you and everyone on the board make that trade?

I wouldn't make that trade. This is up there in scandals. As mentioned previously, probably second only behind Sandusky at Penn St. And ahead of Mike Price at bama. I wouldn’t want Tennessee on that list.

That’s a good way to keep this in perspective. Most of us had the same reaction to the Connor Stallions story. Though consequences did happen, in the end most people were shocked at how little actually became of it.

It will be the same this time, once the novelty wears off. Michigan may even be better off because of it, as you said.

Just like with the federal government, this is mostly entertainment for the common folks and nothing is really going to get solved.

As of Dec 13, 2025 I would agree with you

By March 13, 2026 maybe not so much

While this all seems extremely sordid right now, in the end it's just a guy cheating on his wife with his secretary. Not the first time that has happened and will not be the last. Sure the crime charges are there now, but as I said in one of these threads those will be pleaded down or erased entirely with good behavior

In ten years, it will be a footnote on a wikipedia page that Moore was convicted of misdemeanor assault after his firing or something -and that is all

You and I may remember but the population as a whole? Distracted by the next shiny thing. Gambling conspiracy in NCAA BB tourney, corruption could come out about the CFP process, anything could happen

Just the way life is now.

Seems sometimes like we are just going from one big scandal to the next. One is all anyone talks about for a month or two and then poof it is gone. A new scandal to replace that one.

Same basic pattern in sports, politics, and pretty much everything else these days. Like we are all living in a scripted TV show

And for the record, the Mike Price thing is still the most hilarious thing to ever come out of CFB. To this day, I can't hear anyone say "it's rolling baby" without busting out laughing

You make a good point. Michigan was probably going to move on from Moore before long and they now can do it without a buyout. The general public has a short memory, a little bad PR will be quickly forgotten and they save a ton of money.

Man, I’m hearing a lot of chatter about DeBoer being targeted by Michigan
I wonder how likely it is that DeBoer would actually leave Bama for Michigan? The fanbase seems to not be completely sold on him. Both programs have high expectations, so I don't think job security is any better between the two.

So if I’m on a jury, Moore is going to get some money. UM HR hires her to be his PA, who doesn’t see some hanky panky coming down the pike?
Something is also telling me there’s a check in this for her.

“Character is who you are when no one is looking”.

Apparently, no one was looking. Moore got exactly what he deserved. He won’t get a dime.

She should be fired as well, but they will do whatever they need to in order to keep her happy and quiet until all of this blows over. Then they will “find her a better job” somewhere else.

Edit: the only way Moore sees any money here is if they offer him a settlement to keep his mouth shut about everything else he knows about the Michigan athletics department

For some reason, I thought Moore did fire her (he gave her a big raise that looked out of place and the AD said it looked bad and to transfer her, but Moore fired her instead) and that’s when she changed her story and said they were having an inappropriate relationship.

The details seem to change by the hour, but yeah I think he fired her. She went to the AD, and thus the fuse was lit.

The AD has since came out and stated that she "remains an employee".

If you're a soap opera fan, stick around. It's just getting started.
