No, I wasn't behind you, but if you are so insolent to remain standing when someone asks you nicely to sit down, well what more can I say. If you read what I said, I mentioned that there are times when it is perfectly appropriate to stand, particularly key downs when the game is at stake. But to just stand up the whole game while the other people behind you are seated is just rude. What do you do when there is a seven-year old child behind you, or a person of short stature that can't see over you, even while they are standing? And there are many people with physical limitations that can't stand the whole game, and they are not all old fogies. Some of those fans you hold in disdain may have worn out their knees while playing the game, or maybe they had a knee cap shot off while defending our country. You don't have a clue as to their circumstances, nor does it seem you care.

First of all, we were not at all asked nicely to sit down. Wonder why the girl beside me was balling her eyes out? Sorry, next time someone asks me to sit down I'll ask them to provide me their entire medical and service history.

You should have asked the girl next to you to stop balling.

Good for you. Makes one feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing we have such classy fans such as you.

And yes, everyone has a right to be an azzwipe.

Your the only one here acting like a moron. I have a feeling you told somebody to sit down one time and somebody knocked the taste out of your mouth.

Are you that short seven year old that had his knee cap blown off while playing football? Dang, let it go let it go.:mf_surrender:

I believe that most of the people who come on here and complain about the crowd noise don't even attend the games.

I had multiple bad experiences last night. Neyland can be a great experience, but last night was just bad in the stands from my perspective. I had the pleasure of hearing a guy walk up and blast into a woman and her two children because they were sitting two seats over on the bench from their actual seats. I also had people complaining about those of us who were standing. It was ridiculous. If someone has a physical condition that won't allow them to stand, then I can understand making (nice) requests for finding something that will work...but these people just want to complain about it.

I was embarrassed ... thank goodness two of my friends who were going to come down from Boston with me for the game couldn't make it. You know that people are being incredibly rude when what they are doing shocks you and yet you live in Boston and are used to rude people.

And..this doesn't even mention the Memphis fans that were like the toy poodle that lays into you and your lab every time you walk by the poodle's house. They were yapping all night like a bunch of small dogs trying to intimidate the big dogs.

The irony of it all. Someone who can't even use "balled" or "quite" in their correct context calling someone else an idiot. Go stand in front of your single-wide and yell your brains out, what little that remains.

The same thing happened to me at the South Carolina game. I can't believe people are upset because I'm standing. Take a look around!

The thing is there are certain sections that stand and some that don't. I would suggest sitting closer to the student section so you can stand lower.

I have new people around me every week it seems and if they sit I sit if they stand I stand it isn't worth getting in an argument over.

Ahh the spelling guy. Is this a message board or an English class? Good thing I didn't submit my college papers to you or I would have never graduated with a 3.5.

Just because you are trailer trash do not assume everybody else is even though it makes you feel better.

I'm fine with that, it's just the way the people where going about it and how rude they were that got me riled up.

I've seen that happen. A couple of weeks ago when it was raining against SC and the whole stadium was standing to stay dry, an older man in front of me went ballistic on a guy standing in front of him. It got so bad that the younger guy actually called a cop over to get the 70 year old to stop threatening him.

It's a proven fact that people who can't spell are more likely to live in trailers than those that can. Since it has already been established that you can't spell, and in addition that you are rude and arrogant, I can come to no other conclusion. And if you did indeed graduate from college, then I think that particular institution should definitely have their accreditation pulled, unless it was one of those internet degrees.

Give UTK a call then and tell them to shut down the University because somebody on a message board misspelled some words.

billbattle has it right. 99% of the fans have it right. If most of the fans are standing so should you for the most part. If most of the fans are sitting, so should you for the most part. Many, many times during a game we stand, give high fives to those in front and behind and everyone has a great time. If you are either sitting the whole game or standing the whole game then you simply don't understand the game. If everyone else is sitting on a third and one when Memphis has the ball at the 35 and not likely to score under any scenario unless we put in the third string, then it is probably safe to sit and scream your head off.

There are exceptions certainly if you were a member of the Cameron Crazies at Duke, standing the entire game would be expected and appreciated. Since you are likely not, please be polite to those around you.

Everyone loves their fellow Vol fans and the more enthusiastic and loud the better I like them, but I don't care for anyone who is intentionally rude and behaves like a BAMMER.

Stand up and cheer at the appropriate times and you should be able to have a great time. Stand up the entire game anywhere other than the student section at any venue in college football and someone is likely to say something.

By the way, the same goes for Basketball. We all stand until we score the first basket and then we sit down. Then when something exciting happens we all jump to our feet and cheer, etc. This doesn't prevent anyone from yelling, cheering, etc. standing and yelling at players, refs, coaches, etc.

I am guessing that if you are standing more than 25% of the time against Memphis State and you are not in the student section then you are blocking someone's view and didn't understand that we were going to beat the crap out of them whether you sat or stood. Just my opinion. FEAR THE ORANGE

Dude, that is deep, or is it depth, oh crap my trailer door just swung open, or is it swang. Dang on line degree.
