You are a dense person. How many starters did we lose for a MAJORITY of the season this year? Had the same thing happened in previous years the seasons would've been worse.
If you can't understand that then so be it.
I've said that stuff plenty of times. In another thread today I said repeating ad nauseam that Butch lost to Dooley is an unfair criticism, and I've commended Butch for going after the best coordinators possible. With you I think sometimes there's an air of superiority when you step into a thread and talk about how everyone is recycling arguments because they aren't as logical as you are, but I've said that before. I have no problem agreeing with you.
i don't remember calling people Nancy or sheep, so I can't speak for that, but I agree that conversations work much better without the constant "us vs. them" that happens on both sides.
I'm sure that hurt.
Your sarcasm detector is busted. And I make a habit of adding an emoji most of the time as to hopefully not confuse, but go ahead and read whatever you want into it.
If we're going down that route, the worst fans of all are the ones who pull out this straw man argument every time. It's not the fact that they're "questioning the coach", it's the fact that literally every post of theirs is negative and they only seem particularly interested in posting after UT loses or other potentially negative developments. Legions of the Miserable and all. Us "secret negas" (phrasing...lol) can tell the difference between those people and regular questioning fans, and we're perfectly appropriate in calling out certain people when the negativity is disproportionate to the team's level of play.
It also doesn't make sense to call them "secret negas" since they're, you know, not being negative about the Vols.
What if, hypothetical of course, this was as good as Tennessee is going to get. Top 20 recruiting classes, top 25 finishes, 8,9wins a year and we get rid of CBJ and bring in what we think is a splash coach but the results are the same. What would the fan reaction be?You confuse the coach with the team. You're being positive about Butch, but are you being positive about the Vols? Should Butch prove himself to be a substandard coach, a coach unable to elevate us to the next level, does he deserve our support? When do you decide our players, the true Volunteers, deserve better?
And the only reason you see some posters continue to decry Butch's shortcomings is because some continue to sing his praises, as if he's one of the greatest of all time. Imagine, as annoyed as you get about what you term "nega-vols", some posters get by what they refer to as the "sunshine pumpers".

I don't really know what your opinions are other than that firing Butch is stupid (which I don't agree with, sorry) and that people here recycle arguments, which doesn't bother me. Otherwise I'm not sure where this is coming from
Just so we are clear, during the exchange between you and I after the SC loss, I said firing Jones now, which was then, with the changes going on in the administration at UTK which obviously includes the Athletic Director, would be stupid.
The rest is irrelevant, at this point.
You know why there has been progress? It's because we've had the same team for three years. You're deluding yourself into believing that our improvement in record is due to some incredible process or coaching feat, when in reality, the players just got older and the schedule got easier. Both of those things are about to change over the next couple years.
Which is your opinion. Why does disagreeing with your opinion mean I'm not being objective? Seems like something that you should say is "fair"
Disagreeing with my opinion has nothing to do with you not being objective. The fact that I told you I understood what you were saying (your opinion)and I thought that was "fair" but I disagreed, does. Then You made a comment insinuating I was settling for mediocrity, guess you're far superior to me.
Like the other times, this is going nowhere and I don't see that changing. Kinda like Butch.
