Second round of stimulus; gamesmanship

Trump's "Executive Orders" appear to be smoke and mirrors.

Only 1 of his actions is actually an EO, the remaining are memoranda.

Expect a legal challenge for any re-purposing funds already approved by the Congress.

Net/Net result:

* No more federal unemployment funds (a la the prior $600/wk), as this will be tied up in courts until (probably) after the elections;
* No more PPP for small businesses; and
* No more ban preventing landlord evictions of non-paying tenants.

In sum, Trump has removed the net from under the trapeze act. Barring any unannounced Fed action, we'll now start to feel the true effects of a sharp recession.
We need to find a way to get that ban back in place. People shouldn't have to worry about the ability to put a roof over their heads right now.

Posting polls from sites or media that hate Trump doesn't make it factual.

So basically you find polls and stories that fit the liberal narrative. Essentially making it up as you go.

Also I was commenting on honesty or lack there of. Take the border wall for instance. Plenty of videos out there of democrats calling for a border wall that are now vehemently against it. Get that plank out of your eye my friend.
The poll was from evangelical Christians...a target Trump group......72% believe him to be honest. It wasn't a liberal site I got it from. It's a gallup poll

I'm a moderate, so you really have NO IDEA what you're talking about. If you're a proud Trump supporter, your idiotic post makes sense

You are correct I had no idea you are a moderate. I assumed you were liberal since you think insulting people for supporting President Trump is acceptable behavior. I honestly cannot understand why anyone would think insulting someone is going to change their mind. That is idiotic.

I'm not trying to change anyone's mind. Supporting Trump is supporting someone who constantly puts himself above everything else, plus he can't go a single day without lying about something or making some outrageously false claim

You guys with your nicknames for certain politicians... Old Snapping Turtle and Orange Man... sound like comic book villains.
These are the same people who feign indignation whenever their favorite politician is called a “dim” or “schiff for brains” or “ pedo Joe”.

I feel the same way about Democrats and the media. I cannot fathom believing a damn word they say. Trump gets blamed for everything they have failed to fix in decades of "service".

Did I want Trump ? No . The media did because they thought it would be an easy win for Hillary. They built him up and now they are tearing him down. They could give two sh!ts to what it has done to the country and who gets hurt. It is all about them keeping power and enriching themselves.

Let's agree on one thing..... Beat Bama! GBO!

You didn't need it...better yet, it wouldn't have been appropriate
Oh, you definitely need it to understand the simple responses you receive, you don't even get those, never mind the more "complicated" ones that might include "big" words.

But I understand, bless your heart.

I don't remember the mainstream media building him up. You would have to remind me with some repeating examples. I do know this: several republican senators roasted him into the ground before the election and now they've kowtowed to him since he's been elected. Even his new press secretary had nothing but disparaging, yet true statements about him before he was elected. We've never seen anything like that in this country

Today's toxic environment falls on the politicians (both sides mind you) that have been in power for decades and we still have the same problems. They got Trump elected.

Folks want change but refuse to vote out career politicians.

You did. You're putting your Trump slurping before the principles you pretend to have.

It's people like you who would see this country to ruin for the sake of "owning libtards."

You and Huff are obviously too stupid to understand when I said his EO is ******** and unconditional. But that shouldn’t surprise anyone.

I saw you say that, and it was right when you also said it was nice to see Nancy getting paddled.

Party before country!

It is, it’s like watching AL beat the **** out of OH state. The best option would be a giant sinkhole open up and swallow them both but I’ll take the amusement of watching a B10 team getting destroyed.

Except these are very real power moves that affect tens of millions of Americans. A bit more gravitas than a football game.

There's that apathy I referenced.

Yea it is smoke and mirrors. UI benefits are only extended if your state matches the 25%. No match, no federal aid.

:sigh:

Is anybody on the right going to call out this aggressive over-reach by Trump with these executive orders? I can remember when Obama was in office, we used to be in agreement that EOs were being abused. This right here is a glaring abuse of power. Do you want Biden, Kamala or Susan Rice to have this kind of leverage? If Trump can with the stroke of a pen remove payroll taxes, why couldn't a future president institute taxes in the same manner. It is Congress that should be in charge of levying taxes I thought, not the Executive branch?

If democrats don't challenge them in court, some GOP like Rand Paul or someone should.

They upheld it because Trump’s White House Counsel and Solicitor General field the wrong paperwork.
No, you miss the point. It never should have even gone to the Supreme Court. The EO should not have been valid to begin with. Whatever happened afterwards is irrelevant to the core of the matter.
