Second round of stimulus; gamesmanship

What are we giving up? BHO wrote executive orders like they were going out of style. If congress can't do their job you might as well let the president do it for them. At least presidents get exchanged every 4 or 8 years unlike congress that stinks up washington for decades until they die.
No. You elect people who will do the job. Think of it as a previously succesful business, if one division doesnt do its job and another division has to cover for them you replace the guys not doing their job. You dont redefine what the good division does.

I don't remember the mainstream media building him up. You would have to remind me with some repeating examples. I do know this: several republican senators roasted him into the ground before the election and now they've kowtowed to him since he's been elected. Even his new press secretary had nothing but disparaging, yet true statements about him before he was elected. We've never seen anything like that in this country
Never seen anything like this before? This literally happens every election where candidates and their campaigns tear each other apart during primaries and then end up working together in the general and after in some cases. It’s very common. I do agree that there are some Reps that pretend to be on Trump’s side but these people, the Washington establishment, aren’t out for anyone but themselves. McConnell would push Trump in front of a bus in broad daylight if he thought it would guarantee his perpetual re-election (no comments Luther, I can sense your gears turning). Mitch isn’t the only one either, not by a long shot. If Trump wins again it certainly won’t be due to support in DC and that’s why he won in the first place. I good portion of this country is tired of the lies and lip service from the establishment. November is an interesting look at just how tired of it everyone is. Will we, as a nation, turn back to the very people that caused us to elect Trump? Or will we continue down this path 4 more years? I’m guessing 4 more years of Trump but there’s no way to possibly predict that at this point.

It’s funny to hear the resident dims b**ch and moan about Trump’s executive orders and all the reckless spending without acknowledging its far less than what would have been had the clown dims gotten their way.
Not a defense. Crummy actions are crummy actions. If you dont hold your side accountable how is it going to get any better?

Certainly Trump has put his self interests ahead of the country

If my income through the years had been cut exactly like government programs, I would be so wealthy right now.
Has there ever been a government program that has actually had its money cut? I’m not talking about a reduction in the rate of growth, which Al Gore and other democrats described as “draconian”, but an actual, real, cut.

There has to have been some in the 250 years of our government.

I'm willing to pay my fair share. You?

As for regulations, yes. Trump has rolled back decades of environmental advancement in favor of the almighty dollar.
I’m willing to pay my share for Texas as that is the community where I live. I couldn’t give two ***** about the fiscal liabilities of local, state, or federal governments outside of Texas. In fact screw the Feds all together since they can just print money.

No, not like Trump. Not even close. Silly rationalization akin to "all politicians lie" when talking about the massive lies and false claims Trump makes
I disagree. Look at the behavior from some of these career politicians. They don’t care about people, they care about votes. Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, Graham, and so on, all will say and do pretty much anything to keep their power and gain more. Trump’s motives might be different than these other politicians as perhaps his actions are driven by ego and personal financial benefit. I don’t know. Regardless, if you think those other politicians are any less selfish than Trump by any measurable amount then I believe you are wrong.

Trump is just overt about it. The rest of the politicians have spent a lifetime learning how to hide their bs.
