Contracting? More, its a physical contact sport.
Spreading? Depends. Testing isn't 100% accurate (though it is beneficial). They also interact with more people on a daily basis by being on a team plus classes. So im going to say about the same on that front.
More because of football contact? Based on what? What randomized, peer reviewed study do we have for that?
So once again, in a more controlled setting as being part of an aggressively monitored football team, who is more likely to be infected and/or spread the virus? The athlete practicing and playing within that monitored and controlled sport? Or the college athlete not playing and practicing without strict monitoring as part of the general population? Because without football these athletes will definitely look for more outlets for entertainment... They go to enough parties as it was before. Take away football, what do you think will happen?
