He started out with Dooley players and has had to improve on the situation he was handed. He has. Thus, the comparison. We aren't comparing him to freaking Bowden Wyatt.

Heres my expectations. I want a head coach that wins games and doesnt blow them. So far, he's done more blowing than winning. This aint the first time but it was the most evident. Im still behind Butch but he freaking blew it Saturday.

Every time I see a new thread created, similar to this one, I wonder how it effects future recruiting. I know if I was an 18 year old, and I was interested in coming to play football for UT, I would be looking at forums just like this one. It isn't just this forum, but posts I see on social media as well. I know recruits have to read this stuff. I know it wouldn't effect MY personal decision on what school I am going to (that decision would be much greater to me than what I read on the internet), but you also have to appreciate the influence of the internet/social media these days.

I understand the disappointment. When you are passionate about a team and that team loses, how can you not be bummed? I just wish everyone would let things play out before having a complete and total meltdown two games into a season. My patience is running thin as well after putting up with disappointing losses for years, but for the first time I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel (even after this loss). I know a coaching change wouldn't help the team at all right now.

Then that should have been your thread title, not raving about his record compared to Dooley. Inagree he blew the game Saturday but as far as being on par with Dooley, not going to say that as of now

I stand corrected. Rivals failed me when I refreshed the page on my ipad.

My conclusions are not far off nonetheless. The wins need to come or Butch and Dools will become more and more similar.

No, your conclusion based on your numbers was that there was little difference in their recruiting. That really couldn't be more wrong

Butch has exactly shown that can win a close game or make great in-game decisions. I'm tired of losing close games.

And that record includes Dooley beating Butch head to head by using talented WR's who were getting footballs actually thrown in their direction. :crazy:
