If you're suggesting that Pruitt publicly called a good kid a quitter based upon a rumor or other hearsay, it would be just about as bad as an outright lie by Pruitt. Even if Pruitt's story is true, what kind of coach airs dirty laundry like this by calling out a kid in public? This is a major problem for this staff and likely will not end well.

No, not like that. But in the middle of one of the craziest games i think ive ever seen i could see if a coach or other player seen part of what had happened or something and told Pruitt and him not knowing the whole story went with it. Their stories are too different for there not to be some miscommunication here. No one here so far has any video proof or seen anything that shows someone being restrained or even Quarte leaving.

I have never once guaranteed anything as such.

I still think this team will improve when the holdovers from Butch actually buy in. I do think the 5-7 record projections hold true.

But don’t sit there and say I “guaranteed 9 wins”

When you are in a position of leadership, public comments on a situation where you dont know the whole story are usually not a good idea

I will say this... if a child doesn't mind, it should pay the consequences. Now, whether Sapp was in the right or in the wrong, this team better wake up to who the boss is. I think this coach and this staff are going to get a whole lot tougher. It is going to be sh-- or get off the pot. We may see may much "butchpuss" (loved that, used a day or two ago by someone) watching from the sideline from now on.

If you were hiring and comparing their resumes who would you hire? Pretty much all the proof anyone had to go on at the time, but it seemed good enough to get the job..

This couldn't be any worse with all that took place on our biggest recruiting weekend. First time I am starting to question if this was a good hire now. Guess it's time for me to find something else to do on Saturday and await the basketball team.It's not the losing that burns my a@# it's the embarrassing way it happened as well as this incident on this particular weekend.Thought this staff was smarter than this, Butch back? JK kind of

What would be your definition of his mentality? Im hearing a few different opinions, I see him demanding more from the players and I think eventually it will translate into a higher level of output from the kids, though it may be a slower process. Some people just see him throwing tantrums like BJ used to do and don't believe it will get through to the kids . Curious on your opinion.

I don't know that we have all the facts, but CJP gave Mr. Sapp two compliments before the criticism. Also, would the narrative be any better today if CP had responded to the question by saying something along the line of "That's an internal matter." ? I suspect we would concocting all manner of tales all by ourselves. Wait! That's what [we're] doing anyway.

I remember all the crap Jalen Hurd got, even from me and now in retrospect I wonder how much of it was Butch's fault. This time around I am choosing to not take sides because no one knows the full story. I'm just sick that I've become this apathetic over Tennessee Football. It feels like the team of my childhood is never coming back.

This year is what i'm talking about. Not 2 or 3 years from now when he has his guys. Pruitt is firey, i like it. Some of those kids may not.
