With Jones at the helm UT could pull that stuff off but I don't see it happening under CP. Definitely a mis-communication because you would expect either the HC or one of two position coaches to know if a player is good to go or not. Their stories contradict now meaning one of the two is being untruthful. Sapp should know by the 4th game if you don't practice during the week you are likely not to be starting under CP. That's just the way it is and you could say it's his policy though not etched in stone. Sapp could have been peed off because someone started over him but it's not fair to speculate or assume. I do find it hard to believe that if Sapp was injured surely one coach should know so I'm not buying that. As the many things that occur on UT's sideline through the years any altercation/skirmish is surely gonna be noticed by someone or on camera so why lie? Pruitt had enough disraction to deal with already in this game and I'm sure he wasn't into any extra and unnecessary B/S being piled on to serve as another drama based distraction. He's truly not used to seeing that kind of poor play and it's hard telling what he could have been thinking. I've posted a lot today and I'm fully supportive of CP.I do feel he is genuinely concerned about the welfare of our players but he's by no means soft and I doubt he's ever gonna be. He's put a lot of players in the pros and I've yet to hear one of them speak negatively about him. The more I pay attention to his rebuild here's what I feel he's looking to do. He wants a deep roster and when he does chose to insert a 2nd teamer there's not that much of drop-off in athletic ability at least in the two deep. But sadly UT isn't developed a good one deep as of now indicating how far he has to go. I wouldn't go pounding my chest as a fan banking on what was at UT as a fan either because what was is no longer and it's gonna get to the point when the UT fanbase continues being critical of every coach that any decent well-intentioned coach isn't gonna want any part of this mess. Any player recruited by CBJ and having spent a year in that system is currently uncoachable meaning that before you can coach them properly, you 1st have to uncoach them which requires double the work.we may never know the truth on this, but either way it doesn't look good
I would tend to believe Pruitt. It seems Lyle Jones'splayers have a pattern of back talking and quitting. Lyle only accommodated them. He never made them man up.
We'll move past it quickly. Emotions in motion nothing meant. Just wish one of our biggest players would have snatched JG up and curled his azz after that INT but that wasn't all. Maybe we learn from this but we seem to be lacking in discipline, toughness, and athletic ability. When you beat the 130 ranked team just 24-0 the week prior and have turnovers and penalties in that game you should be able to judge what's gonna happen when you face opponents in the top 20, not meaning UF but those upcoming games. This is bad all around. Dirty laundry aired out in public after a miscommunication means trouble inside.
No, not like that. But in the middle of one of the craziest games i think ive ever seen i could see if a coach or other player seen part of what had happened or something and told Pruitt and him not knowing the whole story went with it. Their stories are too different for there not to be some miscommunication here. No one here so far has any video proof or seen anything that shows someone being restrained or even Quarte leaving.

I remember all the crap Jalen Hurd got, even from me and now in retrospect I wonder how much of it was Butch's fault. This time around I am choosing to not take sides because no one knows the full story. I'm just sick that I've become this apathetic over Tennessee Football. It feels like the team of my childhood is never coming back.
