Okay? The ACC is weak this year as well. Duke just squeaked out a road win on a questionable call against a PATHETIC Boston College and got embarrassed by Miami. Miami lost to FGCU and Indiana State earlier in the year (I know Indiana State isn't a "bad" loss, but title-contending teams don't lose to teams like those). Indiana has had their fair share of struggles against mediocre teams (losing to Wisconsin at home, choke job against Illinois). Michigan isn't unbeatable, obviously. Arizona... Well, we know the story there. Gonzaga will flame out fairly early in the tournament like they usually do. Syracuse and Louisville... Meh. Kansas is struggling big time in a weak Big 12.
If you pick apart every team's resume this season, then no one is a title contender. Florida is far from perfect (post depth is thin), but if we're not a title contender, then there aren't any true title contenders this season. Someone has to win it all.
And Arkansas is truly a different team at Arkansas than they are anywhere else. We'll beat them by 30 at our place.
Great points all. College basketball is thoroughly flawed all the way across this year. It's almost like every team sucks, which seems weird to say. Haha. Parity is greater this year than any I remember. The best team could lose to the worst team on any given night. I can't remember a year like that.
