If you really think not getting top notch talent is not important you are sadly mistaken.
Having a top 10 class means nothing to me. Even Fulmer (check history) had top 10 classes very often, also top 5 classes very often, TOP class many times as well. This was before everybody learned to use the computer and twitter and myspace and etc... to get recruits. Sometimes it is best to get the under rated players that play as a TEAM. Having a top recruiting class doesn't mean you are going to win all of the time or even make it to a BCS. To me recruiting rankings are just a conversation piece. Doesn't mean we are going to win or lose.
I agree we still have opportunity to finish top 10. Not just about the 5 star, but the quantity, too. If we can pad the list with a few more 2 or 3 star, I think we can sneak up a couple of spots.
To the point about always finishing with a top rated class, I'm always amazed at what Beamer accomplishes at VT. He's had some good classes, but you don't always think of Virginia Tech when it comes to top recruiting classes.

I never said that. I think that getting talent is important. But just because we're not a top 10 class doesn't mean that we're going to be a horrible team or that all is lost. On the other side of that... having a top 5 or 10 class does not guarantee a winning season.
Funny, you just won a NC and you still have nothing better to do than troll. -wow go celebrate your championship buddy.
