RIP Twitter

That really annoys me too. It's literally the first comment on almost any twitter thread.

@grok is this true?
@grok is this real?
@grok is this post correct?
@grok how does this work?
@grok blah blah blah
It's basically every X post.

However I admit I use it more than google.

Since we don't have an Elon thread, this one will have to do.

Looks like Elon is making waves on X that both parties are the same and what America needs is a third party. If he pushes this, I suspect it will be what many here claim to support, a fiscally responsible party with very little concern for the morality platforms of both parties.

Question: do you support his efforts if they turn out to be valid? Do you agree (in principle) that's the best direction for the country (if fiscally responsible and morality indifferent)?

A strong true 3rd party that started at the local and state levels to build a following would be great. But it will be corrupted like the rest.

I have more faith in our fiscal responsibility claims (which are shakey at best) than the proposed party's ambitions. DOGE cut some spending but I wouldn't call it "fiscally responsible" because of how chaotic, political/partisan, counter-productive, and deceptive it was.

Agreed. When doge was announced I made a prediction is was political theater.

If Elon's principle's are true and he spearheads a national third party, i would be more optimistic about that party's fiscal responsibility in government than I am about the current two parties.

A 3rd party would be great but it a too little to late situation. The US in death throws due to a dumbed down, entitled lazy population. We are so entitled we create issue that don't need to exist. We expect more for less then any where else...the best bet would be for a complete reset of government. Make it a minimum wage positions and stop lobbiest.

I just remember being kinda excited about the tea party and it was immediately co-opted by establishment R's, and I'm firever cynical.

Tea party was worthy of hope for about 15 mins.

What Elon has that nobody since Perot had, is a platform to reach people. For whatever reason Larry King loved him some Perot. That exposure help him do better than any 3rd party candidate in a long time...possibly since our founding.

But the likelihood the American party is co-opted is very high.

Corey Booker looks like he did it.

Musk looks like he did it.

I can admit it in both cases. I can accept that both cases might be accidental.

The difference is Musk appeals to racists, loves to troll, and there are a lot of weird facts concerning Musk, like how he's trained Grok to answer inquiries. If this were a standalone incident, then I wouldn't have a case.

The point isn't about the salute. It's about yet another bit of smoke.

LOL, that's your opinion not facts.
