When those happened on Twitter, Meta, Reddit and other platforms, those complaining were told those are private platforms and can make the rules they want to.
That is still true.
The point is that they aren't complaining now because they never cared about speech. We had MFers threatening section 230 because they thought Zuck's property was the public square, and now they don't say anything about free speech with Musk's twitter. They are more likely to claim he is a free speech champion than to acknowledge his attacks on speech. Nobody is saying threaten section 230, or advocate for any type of compulsion. But shouldn't we complain about it? Should we not call it out?
I protested pre-Musk speech problems on Twitter. I didn't advocate for force. I protest post-Musk speech problems and do not advocate for force. I'm flabbergasted at the community's response here.
