Not a fan of the DLC modes as I don’t really like 4th Survivor. But it’s still cool to see them add free stuff to the game. Fingers cross for an eventual story DLC that plays like the main game.

I pretty much hate the extra modes. I can't beat The 4th Survivor even after watching YT videos. It seems like it's almost pure luck. And the one mode where you have to kill 100 zombies in the store....screw that crap. I made it to about 50 and died. None of those modes are very fun IMO.

I was going to go for 100% on the achivements but 4th Survivor and No Way Out are just a pain to try and get.

I'm currently going for the Leon S rating on Standard. The unlimited pistol helps.

Watching people do speedruns on Standard and especially hardcore just amaze me. I have no idea how they pull off this stuff; even if I played non-stop all the time I don't think I could do what these guys do.

I cheesed 4th survivor. I pulled up some dudes “no hit run” on YouTube. Watched 10 seconds of the video, paused it, did that part in my game and repeat until I finished. Lol

Yeah it’s crazy. I just finished a Claire hardcore run at 5:11. Thought I was moving pretty quickly but nope lol

I pulled up a Claire Standard S run on YT and followed it as closely as I could. His ending time was 2:05, and I got 3:28 to barely get the S ranking. I was sweating out the last boss fight because I was afraid I was taking too long.

And then I followed a YT video to get the 14,000 steps achievement. The dude did it in about 11,500 steps. My final total was about 13,200.

I still dont' know how my time and steps were so much more.

Yeah I'm going to have to do that. I tried to do it a few days ago but I kept screwing up on parts and got caught my zombies when the dude on the video just ran past them. And the dogs at the start screwed me up because I used too much ammo on them.

So I beat Leon A on Hardcore to get that Achievement and now I'm on Claire A Hardcore for that one. Since I have the unlimited ammo pistol, it's not really that bad. The only problems are the bosses can be pretty tough (though I beat the first 2 Birkins with just the pistol) and a few spots with lickers and those adult G things. But you can cheese most of them, like with lickers I just open the door, shoot at them, then close the door and repeat until I kill them. The final boss on Leon was a pain though, especially his 1 hit automatic kill.

How some of these guys do the S+ game on Hardcore is beyond me. Beating the game in 2 hours and 30 minutes and only saving 3 times sounds impossible.

Good Lord I hate the No Way Out - Hell of a Sheriff achievement/trophy. Worst of the game and really not fun, just pure stress.

Seriously, has anyone finished No Way Out on regular to get the achivement/trophy? I've done everything else in the game, and I've once made it to 93 even though I really have no idea how. This is by far the most difficult thing in the game for me. I've watched several videos and tried to do what they do but it's just too much chaos. I can normally get to about 50 but after that the crap royally hits the fan and after 60 instead of 10 at a time you can have 20 at a time.

Obviously it can be done because people have posted videos, but I just don't get these guys saying it's not that hard. That's some bs. It seems to be about 70% luck. I've seen no way to NOT get overrun, no matter how you try to herd the zombies. Plus when the poisoned ones and the really tough pale ones come out it's usually game over.

Well looks like I'm going to finish with one missing achievement. I can't beat this. I've literally played 60 games of this and I've gotten to 93 once and almost 80 a few times, but I usually die around the 50 mark. I've watched video after video and I just have no idea how you're supposed to do this. I follow the video to a the detail and I still get overrun.

So I'm done. Love the game but really, really hate the DLC.

I’m with you man. Hell I can’t even bother with any of the ghost survivor DLC runs. Just not my thing lol. I hope we get like an actual mini campaign dlc with Ada or something.

Ha, I finally got this last night. I know I legit attempted this a good 60 times. I tried about 5-6 times last night and was about to give it up, and decided one last try and I watched a YT video from a guy who gave some good tips. No joke my heart was pounding when I got it down to 95 and I still had a flamethrower and was able to blow up a last oxygen tank zombie to finish it.

Never again lol.

Man going back and playing Resident Evil 4 (Xbox One version) is a difficult learning curve after playing RE 2 Remake. While I once loved them, now RE4's controls seem terrible and clunky. It took me a good hour or 2 to get used to them, and I died many silly deaths

Do I need to finish the first game before this one? I haven’t started it yet but it’s obviously outdated. I could watch a video on it

Nah, the characters are different. It helps to understand what Umbrella is and who Chris is and why Claire is looking for him, but not even remotely necessary to play through it first.
I think I’ll watch a video on it to be safe. So this remake is worth the $?

Yes. Overall I like it better than the original. The only thing the original did better is the B scenarios with each characters. This game they are kinda lazy and just have the same fights. I really wish they'd work on some DLC that would be true B scenarios.

I ended up buying the "cheat pack" for this for $5, lol. I knew I was never going to do the Hardcore S+ run. So now I'm having a blast (heh) running through the RPD annihilating enemies with weapons I didn't earn.
