As far as recruits if we land a big name DC as HC. Would you want to ride the bench at gawga or bammer or perhaps see immediate playing time to beat those schools! Just saying!

I'm not saying Pruitt is a bad coach, but do you honestly think any of our peers would even think of hiring him as their head guy?

Don't worry about 1 recruiting class. Those who have jumped are probably not coming back after the circus.

Anytime you change staffs, that first class will be less than a great haul. So you just hope the new staff can get something out of the players remaining.

How many Bama commits does Pruitt bring in? If he can't deliver, then it proves he's just a cog in Saban's process and not what we need.

With Pruitt would love to see a punch you in the mouth! Flying to the ball! Focus on open field tackling! Turnover machine that leads the nation in turnovers and sacks! Ohh! And the best field goal kicker! Win every game 9-0!

Recruits will know who Pruitt is. That's not what worries me. The question is who among them will believe he's the answer? I'm not sold on him, so how can I expect that they will be. Defensive guy who's never been a HC, no staff in place, how does that sell Cade Mays or any offensive recruits to come back or stay with us? We're still very much a program in turmoil and Pruitt really does nothing to stabilize that, imo.

You can dislike the hire, but at least make a compelling argument.

it is on him to prove it. if he can get at level here I will gladly eat crow, but Bama and saban recruited those guys.

If JP is our coach Cade WILL BE HIS FIRST CALL outlining EVERYTHING INCLUDING who his staff will be. Kevin knows exactly what’s going on believe you me!!!!!

Unfortunately, no legitimate coach is coming. Other programs can land the Jimbo Fishers and Dan Mullens of the world, but UT has to always settle for the untested and pray they work out. How we been doing with that the past 10 years?

I have no doubt Cade would be one of his first calls, but he'll still have to hire his staff, and he'll still have to sell Cade on returning to the fold. Cade may not buy what he's selling. Pruitt is not a home run hire.
