Honestly, if Pruitt is the hire, I'm penciling in another coaching search in 3-5 years. I hope I'm wrong, but I have zero confidence in this hire.

Heck! Look at the recruiting Smart has done! Who could imagine Jacob Eason being benched. For a true freshman who is just plain balling! And with the #1 quarterback already committed to the dawgs. They got it going on! We need to beat dat next year.

The key to Cade Mays etc. Is who he brings in as OC. And even those guys understand if the defense cant get the other teams offense off the field then they cant do what they do!

Good coaches aren't just hatched. Almost every good coach learned the core of what he coaches by from some other coach. it could've been from:
Lombardi
Shula
Parcell
Bryant
Neyland
Walsh
I'm good with Pruitt learning at least part of his from a guy who has multiple nattys and a damn statue. He probably has some insight on how to run a program in the SEC.

Recruits know that much.

Kiffen could recruit. But Bryce Brown and I think his name was David Oku or something like that he was the #1 all purpose back and neither one panned out! I remember how psyched I was.We had Monty for DC. Left at the alter! Pete bailed to the NFL when he knew alot of recruiting violations were coming down. Kiffen jumped! Had all the 5* talent galore could not pull it off no better than raiders. Maybe he is like Butch looks good in a little pond. JMO!

Cade could also have been easily influenced by Butch as his son played with Cade at Knox Catholic.. I saw him at the State Championships this past weekend watching his son. Cade by the way put on a show. Man Beast and full of energy.

No they won't. Pruitt has won recruiter of the year and is the defensive coordinator for the most successful program in modern history. I'd bet money they all know who he is.

They will research him and find out that he is a bonafide winner.
They will also become winners and if talented, will make it to the NFL.
Problem solved, enjoy the offseason everyone! We actually have something to look forward to. Our roster is still good, just needed a coach.

not saying he is or isn't a good hire but I'm optimistic.Any body who doesn't know who Jeremy Pruitt is doesn't know a damn thing about football. This would mainly apply to fans though. To imply that A big time recruit wouldn't know Jeremy Pruitt is idiotic.
