If Phil and Pruitt stick to his message of restoring toughness with a mission, I think we'll end up just fine...as long as we don't take another month for coordinators. I'd think part of the delay may have been Pruitt initially getting some verbal ownership from potential staffers?

If Jeremy Pruitt (is allowed to) coaches Alabama to a NC in the coming playoffs, he will have been part of 5 different National Championship teams with 5 rings. If you don't know who he is or you don't support this hire, I question your football IQ.

Dude, I just watched a video of Pruitt's DC jobs. He was at UGA 2-3 years and got them to 7th ranked D in nation.....GTFO!

We have a great chance to pull in a top 15 class now. Pruitt is one of the best recruiters out there.

Well apparently you're either ignorant about CFB or don't get out much if you don't know who Pruitt is without a Google search..And I guarantee you recruits know who Pruitt is..Or at least the ones UT needs to sign know him....:hi:

probably not considering he is one of the top recruiters in the country, won national recruiter of the year twice. Is bama's best recruiter, recruited for fsu, recruited for uga. Is considered the best DC in the country right now.

I'd say they know who he is bud

Great, man! CJP has some huge potential! It was only a matter of time before another big power 5 job picked him up. Glad we pounced on him.

He is an ace recruiter, elite as they come. Tremendous defensive mind. Has connections all throughout the SEC for putting together an elite staff. I’m expecting top 10 classes on the reg. I’m dreaming of top 5.

We’ll probably witness a return to the traditional, winning UT formula on offense: power football. Big lineman, like Mr. Trey Smith, that can knock the opponent on their asses. Powerful running backs and receivers.

We haven’t had a defense worth a damn since 2001, with aberrations in ‘05 and ‘08. I expect that to change quickly. Probably not year 1, but definitely in 2 or 3.

Frankly, our teams under Butch (besides 2015) have been soft. I expect an excellent S&C program to toughen our boys up. We’re not getting pushed around by UMass under CJP.

Anyway, just my thoughts. Can’t wait for the presser!

What a great Christmas present! Home run hire IMO. I would love to see Brando, Herbstreit, etc.. Talk about what a mistake we made not hiring Schiano now...lol

Getting Cade Mays back would be huge. May be flipping Max Wray is still possible. Both have been very interested in UT in the past. One thing that should help is we are desperate for OL and can offer immediate playing time.


Also need to zero in on WR and LB.
