While averaging 19 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals per game for Cleveland (Tenn.) High School, D.J. Bowles also is finding the time to check out some colleges.
The 6-foot-1 point guard visited Tennessee this past weekend, is slated for Georgia Tech this weekend, Murray State the following weekend and Georgia the weekend of February 18. He previously visited Georgia Tech, Central Florida and Chattanooga.
Offers are in from Central Florida, Murray State, MTSU, Morehead State, Kennesaw State, Chattanooga and Wright State.
Tennessee and Georgia will visit his school for the second time each later this week. Georgia Tech, Central Florida, Penn State, MTSU, Marquette, LSU, Alabama, Virginia Tech, Kennesaw State, Wright State, Chattanooga and Tennessee Tech are other schools that have checked on Bowles this year.

Strengths:
This youngster is maturing right before our eyes and has grasped the point guard spot with abandon. Bowles has an outstanding outside stroke and will keep defenses honest as he can pull-up from anywhere and drain it.
Weaknesses:
Bowles must continue to perfect his role as the leader of the offense. He came a long way from a scoring threat to embrace the new position and with his work ethic and desire he will continue to pursue his dream.
Bottom Line:
His ability to shoot allows him to very effective with the ball in transition and his decision making from the lead guard spot has improved immensely in the past couple of seasons.
