I'll still wear Big Orange and I'll still watch them on tv. But if it's a Bobo level hire, it'll take some wins before I buy another ticket or even rearrange any weekend plans for it.

You’ll be all in by after the O&W game.

Man I hope not lol. I was hooked on Jones pretty fast. Listened to his introductory press conference multiple times, read a few Butch Jones friendly articles, and I was on board. When he got Hurd to commit, I was like oh man I think this is the dude lol. Just gonna try my best not to make that mistake again. The feeling you get when you know a guy isn't going to get it done sucks something fierce.

Butch has been bad, don't get me wrong. But most of my irritation with him has to do with his personality and the cartoonization of a once proud football program. Dooley was bad but he never once tried to lower expectations or use all the dorky clichés as selling points.

If he were a winner, all that other stuff wouldn't mean $6¡7 to any of us.

if McElwain leaves. Looking at their history (since 1990), they have had 2 great hires: the favorite son, Spurrier and Meyer; offset by 3 meh hires - Zook, Muschamp and McElwain.

Could make a good hire but history says they may not.

Butch's time has been much more fun than Dooley, and I don't know how that is debatable. Win or lose, most of last year was a blast. This year has not been fun, but Dooley didn't make it this far. Let's move on.

Same. I always felt Dooley really did understand the history and tradition of Tennessee football and respected it. Butch is the type of coach that has a way about him that just pisses me off. In his 5 years here I still don't really have an idea of who Butch Jones really is. I've never seen or heard anybody so robotic in my life. At least Dooley was funny.

I'm just going through a lot of bad real life crap, I think the stress just carries over to this place sometimes. I'm not the only one in here facing tough issues though, so it isn't an excuse to be a jerk. I forget sometimes in the moment that it is a real person I'm conversing with, who is also probably dealing with heavy stuff.

Hang in there buddy. We all go thru things and wonder why. Don't let go of the unseen hand because it holds the reasons why. A buddy of mine wrote similar lyrics to that song at the death of our friend in college. Shout out to 4 him. Cool song if you can find it.

It’s really hard to steal a proven winner today. They would be in the same boat as LSU and USC. Far from a sure thing.

Thank you for the uplift, I needed it bad right now. I spend so much time saying these things to others in my life, and I am so thankful that God saved me from my former life, and gave me the chance to help others, but right now I need to hear some faith myself.

It’s all good man. A lot of us are going through some really serious stuff and you, like me, probably try to come here for a little break from it all. It’s harder when our Vols suck though lol

Hope it gets better. I don’t know you or what you’re going through but hope it gets better man. We’re all on the same team in here.

Look up online the song WHY by 4 HIM. Great song for you now I think.

"Opportunity is Nowhere", Red Dog vs. Orange Dog and Year Zero were pretty bad. Dooley was Year Zero, right? Hard to remember.
