I also think letting the kids know somebody above gives a crap, and help is on the way could light some fire in them. Hell..fire Butch and Scotts dumb asses, and let RG call plays and see what happens. It literally could not be any worse at this point

Yeah. It's kinda cool that we've never lost more than 7 games, but that's all it is. If we go 5-7 from now until Congress makes football illegal, I'm not exactly planning on popping champagne.

I don't think we would or should necessarily.

What I was getting at is that if the staff is already dysfunctional under Butch, turning one of those three into the boss could potentially exacerbate that problem.

Speculation on my part, admittedly. I'm just not sure that making one of those guys an interim HC means the team or staff will rally together.

If we hire someone like Bobo, I'm definitely gonna have to scale my fandom back some. Don't really know how to do that for sure, guess I'll just have to quit investing so much time and hard earned money into this program. Yep, that's exactly what I'll do.

I understand, my oldest has been deployed for many seasons and shares those types scenarios that you describe. He is serving our country and you’re serving the Lord from what I gather.

You know what? I apologize..this is the exact reason why I didn't touch this place for three weeks. I actually care about the Tennessee Vols more than I should. I really don't want to argue with anybody about it..I am just pissed off. See ya later.

Yeah, but I'm not saying I don't care at *all.* I'm still going to watch. I'll still be upset if we lose. I watched the entire Bama game knowing we were getting dragged but I was still upset.

I'm just saying that, in my own personal opinion, none of it will really matter if we make an amazing hire and Tennessee climbs back into the elite. I've made myself miserable over a lot of games in the last ten years. I just don't want to bother with that again, because it's really not worth it.

There's plenty of REAL things to stress out over. Like ghosts, and the reboot of Will & Grace, and pineapple on pizza.

His name was mentioned once as possibly being on the list somewhere maybe, and is now basically a placeholder name for any underwhelming hire
