They have the depth there, but outside the 2 transfers and the two brothers (stills I think is their names), the talent drop is huge. Not to mention the one is a freshman. They're basically banking on a 4*, freshman, and two transfers to be their saving grace.
The one lb, Long, is pretty good, and a ball hawk, good tackler, but like I said, he's only around 215lbs. Their other lbs are not good.
They only have 5 scholarship dbs too. 1 should be pretty good, the others are all unproven.
I like our depth across the entire D much better. Well, maybe outside of dline, but not one of their running backs would sniff the field in the sec.

Don't really think it has to do with sunshine pumping. You attacked numbers. Math nerds don't take too kindly to that. haha. JK. I think the big deal was just the ChattaVol obviously puts in a ton of work to bring us stats and info that we wouldn't ever really get otherwise and you kinda took a chef on it. Not really a huge deal and I understand the point you were trying to make. Just that it wasn't like some crappy ESPN stats article, it was one of our own going above and beyond to try to bring us perspectives that nobody else will.

Ok...and? The anomalies still shock the hell out of people when they inevitably and very often happen. Stats are useful, but never tell the whole story.

They have some good players, and I'm sure we're not taking them lightly. They'll put up points and we'll have to match them. But one of the "star" DL transfers they're counting on is Kenny Bigelow, who tore his ACL twice at SC, sat out almost three seasons and barely played last year. SC had already convinced him to give up playing before his medical RS was approved. Helton knows Bigelow's shortcomings and will try and capitalize on them.

Their DL could be better than expected, which would stymie our gameplan. Or we could run at them, through them and around them all afternoon.

...and yet, the entire point of Chatt's post was to bring objective data suggesting that we have a considerable talent advantage. That isn't simply being opposed to sunshine pumping, that is actively crapping on good news.

^--- tells the story of what should happen with competent coaches... QBs are a big part of football because they touch the ball every down... but they don't control everything...

I'm pretty confident the defense gets fixed early this year... probably in game 1... it's all up to the offense not going 3 and out, which if we actually play smashmouth against a 3-3-5, should be 4-5 yards of running room all day

Under 61-1/2 is the smart play...

If you put a gun to my head and made me pick against the number, Tennessee +10 is the obvious choice... but I could see WV running away with it if they aren't prepared

Jake Browning is my dark horse, but Washington gets no love because no one watches Pac 12 football. If they beat Auburn, watch Browning's odds short in a big way.
