'25 Recruiting Forum: Official Tennessee versus Vanderbilt Pre-game/Game Thread

Development is the most important thing. Experience without development is meaningless. The product on the field shouldn’t give anyone with a working pair of eyes confident that the necessary development will take place with the current coaching staff. Heupel has to make changes. Simple as that.
I mean yeah that's true. But what evidence do you have that we don't develop talent? Especially on defense. Byron Young? James Pearce? Norman-Lott? Jaylen McCullough had 4 picks last year. Most of those guys were staring down the barrel at being car salesmen before Heupel. Also, did we forget that our defense was #7 in the country last year? It was in the 100s when those guys were freshmen. And this team is way more talented than they were in 2021. I'm not defending Tim Banks, just arguing the point that we don't develop

Three coaching changes are needed for next season:

1. Get rid of Tim Banks. Defense constantly looks lost and he coaches our worst position group, safety.

2. Demote Hazle. I honestly have no clue what he does as a coordinator. Apparently nobody knows whether or not he calls plays.

3. Get an actual special teams coordinator. Special teams have added absolutely no value all season.
