'25 Recruiting Forum: Official Tennessee versus Vanderbilt Pre-game/Game Thread

what would you prefer?
"We will be making positive improvements in our program. We do not want to see what happened today repeated."

Then go make the changes.

Not mumbling about small things making a difference and acting like he ate some bad tacos.

Do. Something. About. It.

If you’re going to reach the pinnacle, which is ultimately the goal of this program, you need to be willing to aggressively break through any barriers to that type of ascension to success. Like last year, cut the bad weight and move forward, hopefully both on the roster and on staff.

The fact that defensive unit made the same mistakes every FN week is insanity.

how do these guys watch film everyday and continue to coach the same **** over and over.

I’m watching Heupel presser and he has the nerve to say “this game at this level… the small details”

The small details have killed us every year he’s been here!

And there’s been no change. The same groups have cost us. OLine blocking and penalties. The linebackers not filling, covering and tackling.
The dbs constantly missing tackles and not playing leveraged.

This is an all around failure.

I don’t t care about “we would have taken 8 wins before the season”

Joey came in and was a better qb than the one who left.
And the team didn’t meet his play

Standing ovation for Joey Aquilar. What a ballplayer!

The guy who has only been here a few months echoing everything I’ve said about Heupel’s lax style…

It’s been a problem since UCF and 8 years later… Same ol’

Can’t let Jimmy sexton hold us hostage.

Heupel ain’t bear Bryant . Hell he ain’t Phil fulmer…

Go enjoy pedofile state college. And get fired in 3 years like franklin did

He ain’t leaving.

Also Franklin coached at PSU for nearly 12 years.

How is this apathetic? if anything it show: frustration and anxiety, in direct opposition to your apathy.
Like all ways . All he does is just state the obvious.

“We gotta clean up the penalties “
“We have to execute better “
Blah blah blah.

No SH*+. How you gonna do it?
Nothings changed , you gonna make some changes??
What’s the plan?

He’s not gonna tell you the plan. If you’re not in the building, you’re not in the need to know.

He’s always been a boring interview. Lots of coaches take that approach.

From lack of change, same lack of discipline penalties, same coaches doesn’t seem their is a plan, at least not one that’s working.
Everyone assumes he’s tight with info unless you’re in the need to know, but what if it’s just he ain’t telling anything because he doesn’t know?
Same ole coach speak and same ole problems are lame.

This was pre Vandy. Not sure what they have said since the loss.
I listened to part of the post game mini pod, and basically it sounded like they were all in agreement that Heupel needs to have the stones to make some tough, but necessary choices to get the program back to where it needs to be .
