I'm definitely not the boss man, but here's his email: vol_freak@yahoo.com
I'm a huge Braves fan. Have been my whole life. I've just been watching this offseason with a constant "WTF" expression. Just hope there is a plan.
Doesn't mean you give away a top 3 closer! They gave him away. We didn't get anything worth 2 cents in exchange. Trash! I would have rather traded him for 3-4 draft picks, than the guys they got. Wasted trade. It's time that management is completely shook up.
Just an FYI. I know some of you do not venture into the FF, and I don't blame you, but a fellow VNer and his wife need help. Some of you may not be familiar with Slice(now goes by Maxamus, he's the guy with the Pepe LePew avy), but his wife, Red, has been very ill. They're trying to raise money to go to a clinic in Germany that has done extensive research on Lyme Disease. Red is a nurse and has done her due diligence on checking this place out, and they offer treatments not yet available here in the States. So if you feel like doing a good deed and helping out some nice folks, here's the link:

Any donations would be greatly appreciated. If you know anyone not on VN who likes to donate to good causes, pass the word along. Facebook, twitter, anyway you can think of to get the word out, you'll be doing something awesome for some great folks. Thank you.

It was actually a pretty good deal for rebuilding since they'll end up saving about $50 million. The key was to get rid of Upton. Upton was a mistake not made by the current management.
We have 50 million to blow on somebody not batting below the Mendoza line. We also have the 4 picks in the first 54 of next year's draft, and now three of the top 100 pitching prospects in the minors. So, in all of the other trades we made, we couldn't find a way to slip Upton in there? We had to make a different trade to give up our young closer, who could be the foundation of the rebuild with Freddie? Makes no sense! If what the Braves want is empty seats, then that's what they will get...a whole lot of them!

A closer is only viable if you have a lead at the end of the game. How many of those do you think we'll have in the next couple of years, the years left on kimbrel's contract?

For all the Reds fans out there
Have y'all noticed the sign behind home plate on the electronic message board?
Says "Big Orange Machine"
lol. Haven't noticed it yet. Doesn't surprise me though. It's the year for the Big Orange. BR declared it in their article so I'm claiming it.
:good!: Thumbs up so far for Todd, Joey, and Billy on defense. Thumbs up on Johnny as usual. Thumbs up on Jay going yard and Billy messing with Liriano enough to make him balk him in for a run. Thumbs down on the rain unless it rains it out, in which case - Reds win.
What doesn't make sense is trying to build a franchise around a closer. So, in all of the other trades we made, we couldn't find a way to slip Upton in there?
