I guess I'm not worthy of raising my kid then. Glad to know you can blanket-statement any stupid rationalization for your ignorances. I'm in a situation that without that little bit of help I get, we might have gone without food in my house. I don't use or abuse the system, we need help. It must be really nice to always have everything you need. Jerks.

How do you afford the internet?

If you like that flavor profile, look for Harpoon Black Forest, Petrus Aged Red, Weyerbacher Tango, or Sam Adams Cherry Chocolate Bock. That way you do not need to mix beers.

Never heard of most of those. But I do like the Sam Adams CCB.... but they only sell it during the winter

Weyerbacher is out of PA, Harpoon from New England, & Petrus from Belgium. If you can find them, they are fantastic.

Wait until the US Government declares bankruptcy to China. There won't be benefits for anyone after. I'd love a USA with no welfare, no food stamps. Only the elderly and disabled deserve those programs.

I think you may have an undiagnosed mental illness. Sane people don't think this way.

Non issue IMO. If a child's parents can't afford or choose not to go to work to take care of their kids needs, they don't need those kids.

Simple concept IMO. Do for your kids, or you won't have them.

So then we not only have to foot the bill for feeding the kids, we also have to pay a host family to house them? Also the legal costs in having them removed from the household? I don't know man. It doesn't necessarily seem like we are coming out any better.

Food Stamps, Medicare, and social benefits make up for over 50% of our budget. We have a foster system that can use more money rather than giving it to a crack addict, meth head, or something similar. Put the kids in foster homes.

Safety net programs (food stamps, welfare, etc) were 12% of the 2013 US federal budget.

Don't lump social security and other "pay as you age" programs as give aways. Your parents / grand parents paid into those programs for 40+ years - nobody is giving them anything.

At least those who abuse the system would no longer be cashing in. I tend to think about people who would love to adopt a child but say for instance they are single. Right off the bat they go to the back of the line and chances of them be selected to adopt a child is slim. Why? If they work hard, pay their own way, can afford child care when they are working, would that not be a better solution than allowing people to just live the rest of their lives popping out kids which other people have to fit the bill for? As I said, short term assistance is one thing. If the situation is not getting any better, I'd force those people out of the assistance line in a hurry. If they can't care for their kids, I'll look for someone who maybe could.

We'd destroy China one way or another before we go "bankrupt" to them.

Well, Obama likes getting pushed around, but even still I doubt he's that much of a failure. When have we let a country push us around and not fought back? When have we let a country push an ally around and not fought back?

Amurica!!!

Oh my, what did I walk into?

So you are tearing apart families based on their ability to financially provide for their kids? I am sure the kids that you are forcibly removing from their parents will grow up with no problems at all.

While I agree that there are many unfit parents out there who will never be fit, how do you ensure that the children do not suffer? Do you remove the children from the home if the parents can't find a job in 90 days?
Don't misunderstand me, please. Most of us begrudge supporting lazy, shiftless, unmotivated people who feel entitled to the benefits that they have enjoyed. If you limit the benefits to 2-3 months, children are going to suffer even more than they likely already do.
