So you are tearing apart families based on their ability to financially provide for their kids? I am sure the kids that you are forcibly removing from their parents will grow up with no problems at all.

Sure some may still have problems, but it wouldn't be any more so than growing up in a broken home with horrible parents.

They have things called parental units. Parents should be able to provide for their child without govt assistance. If they can't do that, they shouldn't have the kid.

But, they did have the kid. Should they keep the kid? If it can be demonstrated that they are fit to work, but cannot or will not, then they should not keep the child. It is reasonable to expect that if someone knows that these benefits will cease after a certain time, that they will become more motivated to find a job.

Wait, I got it. Mandatory tubal ligations and vasectomies. Problem solved!!

Burger oftentimes acts like he has "assburgers", but I actually agree with them both on all of the above. The reason America has gotten to this low point is because of entitlement programs. The only things one should possess are those things which one can afford. It's a pretty simple concept when you think about it. That applies to new cars, new phones, new houses, new clothes, and even children.

What about social security? That is a huge entitlement program.

So the parents are horrible because they are on assistance? Interesting...I have seen affluent and middle class parents that are horrible. When did financial status determine your parenting abilities?

Interesting you bring that up. I worked for SSA for years. The problem with Social Security is people receive it that NEVER paid into it. Another totally broken system.

Of course their are horrible parents who are a part of the middle class and affluent. Difference is they aren't living off tax-payer money, which makes it everyone's problem.

Either way, I've just stopped giving money to charities. I'd much rather prefer to do that and give to whom I choose, but I just figure all that money I'd give to charity already comes out of my paycheck for the government to toss around to whomever they want. One thing is for sure having worked for the Federal Gov't for years you see first hand how wasteful the machine is run.

I did not say to execute anyone. Just stop paying their way. If after 2-3 months of "assistance" a person has not decided to do for themselves, I'd cut them off. They want to live in cardboard box and eat scraps out of dumpsters so be it. I would not be paying their way because they would rather get a free ride than do for themselves. I was raised by parents who taught me you work for what you want. If you can't afford it, you don't get it. It's really that simple.

So what do you think we should with the relatively small population of homeless we have in our country. You take away assistance and that population is going to explode.
