AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA THIS IS THE BEST SPORT ON EARTH. YOU CAN MOCK THE JOY BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN WE AREN'T CURRENTLY FILLING A JACUZZI WITH IT. THEY SENT US TO THE JUNGLE AND MADE US PLAY BETTER TEAMS. THEY MADE US PLAY IN A FLOODED CITY AGAINST BETTER COMPETITION -- LOVE YOU, GERMANY, EVEN THOUGH YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT FOOD OR CLAPPING ON THE BEAT IS -- AND WE STILL SURVIVED. OUR BEST PLAYER GOT HIS NOSE BROKEN WHEN A GHANAIAN KICKED IT IN. OUR STAR MIDFIELDER HAS CAUGHT THE DREADED AMAZONIAN WOODFOOT VIRUS, AND HAS SHOWN NO SIGNS OF RECOVERY. OUR GOALIE HAS BEEN LEFT OUT TO DRY MORE TIMES THAN SOMETHING WHICH WOULD PEE ITS WETSUIT A LOT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT IS, BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT
WE PLAY BELGIUM NEXT (PROBABLY!). AS SOON AS AMERICA LOOKS UP WHAT BELGIUM IS WE'LL FORM A DEFINITE AND VIOLENTLY FELT OPINION ON THE MATTER. BUT FIRST WE NEED TO LAY DOWN BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN DRINKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY, AND NEED A NAP. YOU KNOW, LIKE THE KIND THE SPANISH TAKE IN THE AFTERNOON, WHILE THEY AREN'T WATCHING THEIR SOCCER TEAM THAT ISN'T IN THE WORLD CUP. YOU SHOULD WATCH GAME OF THRONES, SPAIN. IT'S A LOT LIKE THE WORLD CUP IN THAT EVERYONE DIES, AND AN AMERICAN STILL HAS A HAND IN WRITING THE SCRIPTS.
With football over legislating the physicality of the sport, soccer will only get more popular. Especially considering football may not be around several years from now.
I don't care how long you've been around soccer, it's a different time period.
Ok so anyone want to give about four grades of their choosing?
Tim Howard - 8 - he had a great game but couldn't get around to making the most proper save before the lone goal. He also had a pretty ugly clear but overall, tremendous game. Perhaps the goal was just unlucky.
Beasley- 7 - his speed showed out today. He played more aggressive and didn't really have any glaring mistakes IMO. He's been picked on all three games and most issues came from the other side it seems.
Beckerman - 6.5 -he played better today. He controlled a lot better and won more balls in the middle. Still Had a few mistakes but overall, Solid effort.
Bradley - 4.5 - Bradley Bradley Bradley. He has had an awful World Cup but showed improvement. Losing balls in the middle are way to consistent at this point. Luckily, those loses didn't cost the USA too much this game. He is also a step slower than previously anticipated. I wonder if he has a minor tweak or an injury that isn't being announced. Unfortunately, he's probably just playing bad. I do, however, predict a better showing in the next game by Bradley.
Nice assessment.
Gonzo had one hell of a game. Yedlin's entry into the game seemed to spark Bradley to play better toward the end, but how many times can we keep hoping that Bradley will play better the next match?
You guys know Belgium is good, right? This isn't going to be a walk in the park.
Keep Hazard on lock down and we can win. Belgium doesn't seem to be in the best form right now. It's either pressure or they are tired from the Euro season. I think our guys are experienced enough to grind out a win.
