Ok so anyone want to give about four grades of their choosing?

Tim Howard - 8 - he had a great game but couldn't get around to making the most proper save before the lone goal. He also had a pretty ugly clear but overall, tremendous game. Perhaps the goal was just unlucky.

Beasley- 7 - his speed showed out today. He played more aggressive and didn't really have any glaring mistakes IMO. He's been picked on all three games and most issues came from the other side it seems.

Beckerman - 6.5 -he played better today. He controlled a lot better and won more balls in the middle. Still Had a few mistakes but overall, Solid effort.

Bradley - 4.5 - Bradley Bradley Bradley. He has had an awful World Cup but showed improvement. Losing balls in the middle are way to consistent at this point. Luckily, those loses didn't cost the USA too much this game. He is also a step slower than previously anticipated. I wonder if he has a minor tweak or an injury that isn't being announced. Unfortunately, he's probably just playing bad. I do, however, predict a better showing in the next game by Bradley.

WE PLAY BELGIUM NEXT (PROBABLY!). AS SOON AS AMERICA LOOKS UP WHAT BELGIUM IS WE'LL FORM A DEFINITE AND VIOLENTLY FELT OPINION ON THE MATTER. So we play Belgium next Tuesday at 4! Since we're making predictions,I'll say USA 2 Belgium 1.

Tim Howard makes 3 great saves and Dempsey has a kick-a$$ game(again).

Stating the obvious, I know. I have to since soccer isn't my strongsuit.:)

Nice assessment.

Gonzo had one hell of a game. Yedlin's entry into the game seemed to spark Bradley to play better toward the end, but how many times can we keep hoping that Bradley will play better the next match?

We will live and die by Bradley. I do agree he probably isn't playing his best position. Next cycle I think he will be further back and Mix Diskerud will play in that position.

Yeah I'm not an idiot and probably follow soccer more than most on this board and also remember the last time we played them and they beat us. I also don't think they've played well and while we haven't either I can honestly see that result.

A more realistic result IMO is probably 2-1.

It's the round of 16, nothing is a walk in the park now. If Bradley and Dempsey can both play to their abilities with Jozy maybe back. We'll be 10xs better than we've been this far

Keep Hazard on lock down and we can win. Belgium doesn't seem to be in the best form right now. It's either pressure or they are tired from the Euro season. I think our guys are experienced enough to grind out a win.

Agreed. Going in I really thought Belgium was a dark horse but they don't look any better than anyone we just faced.

Belgium isn't better than Portugal, Germany or Ghana in world cup play IMO. USA has been producing decent offense and decent defense despite not playing great. I believe this reenergizes the USA squad and they come out to produce two goals and lock Belgium down well. 4 shots on goal for Belgium in the match though. I watched them today for the second and a half time this World Cup and they didn't seem as strong in a weak group. Jmo.

I was kind of kidding, but I'm not sure their 2 guard depth. They definitely suck so it's feasible. Just not sure who they drafted they had a million picks. Jordy that late is a steal
