Sorry, but butchna and I made a bet on who could get you banned the quickest :)

Just kidding, you teed it up, just could not resist. :hi:

Was going to hack his account and post one of my usual astute points...that usually does the trick. :yess:

I just happen to be a part of the group who always gets screwed by things like college admissions, quotas, and other things that discriminate. Minorities these days get everything handed to them. In Ca., an illegal immigrant can go to Cal for free while I couldn't get in.

On another note, how do you all feel about ignoring other users? Before my curiosity got the best of me and I couldn't do it, but I've decided to embrace it. So far, 9 esteemed members of Volnation have made my ignore list.

Good job embracing it. I find it makes for a much more enjoyable VN experience. IMO, there's no reason to continue reading posts from someone you don't gain any value from. Might as well ignore them, saves a lot of scrolling time.

Some say its "childish". I think that's silly. You don't have to listen to or converse with every single person you come across in person, right? So why on VN?

Fact is, not everyone gets along and I see no reason to waste time arguing with people constantly. I wouldn't do that in my personal life. So it's just easier and more time efficient to ignore certain people and move on.

My stance exactly. No need to put up with bull**** from bad posters.

Excellent points Ronson. I choose my associations in person, so no reason I can't do it here.

Ron, you certainly have a way of communicating in an effective manner. This is exactly what ignore is for.

Good post, Ron.

I love different opinions. I love the bantering about them. I love some of the hilarious stuff when on topic or in this thread. I cannot stand the childish trolling and baiting. Condescension while being dead wrong about most anything said is high on my list of cast offs. I'll listen for awhile to make sure the poster is an idiot and has little to no redeeming value or ability to change their ways. But at some point it's time to gain some time and lose some stress.

So Ignore works for me. Only a few. Adding to it though. The TG thread was an eye opener for me.

Good post Ron. I really appreciate what you and a few others add to VN and it helps me keep up with what's going on. I don't have any contacts with the football program anymore like I did when CPF was there. I've been retired for over 8 years so I don't want to spend money subscribing to any of the services, just can't afford it. Buying 2 season tickets each year takes up much of my "fun" money. The TG thread has become totally ridiculous. I've only put about 3 on ignore but I'm seriously considering adding 4 or 5 more. The ones that drive me nuts are the "experts" that know more about what the coaching staff is doing than the staff does. It's O.K. to give an opinion but they are going way beyond that. Thanks for all you (and a few others) do for VN.
JMO :)

The ignore list reminds me of trying to stay away from the people you don't like in high school. They're still here, but you choose not to deal with them.

You miss a lot of gold if you start ignoring people. I have zero on my ignore list.

Yet, you're on so many ignore lists. Just giving you a hard time. :)

However, I agree with you. I had one person on my ignore list, due to one mind-numbingly asinine post. They were on there a month, stopped posting drivel and I removed them. I won't do it again, I don't think. If I don't like what somebody is saying I scroll by.

For anybody wondering, it wasn't burger. He still spouts drivel. ;)

I'll be the first to admit I'm hard to tolerate a lot of the times on here. I'm going to try to lighten
up the help of Butchna. You miss a lot of funny stuff by putting people on ignore.

Here come the flames, but I'd venture to guess that those who refuse to use the ignore button are the ones most likely to get ignored. Some of us just have a very low tolerance for stupid in their lives. :hi:

There are a lot of stupid people in America. Might as well learn to tolerate them. Intelligence is something you're born with like skin color.
