Before the tournament, I predicted Uruguay to finish ahead of England, but after watching a game I deff see England advancing. Uruguay is old and slow, everything I expected England to be, but England has been playing a lot of young and talented kids.

According to that ESPN article, we should be rooting for England since they are most like Tennessee. Right?

I'm a devout Christian, but the notion this country was founded on religious freedom is largely a fallacy. Economics was the biggest reason for the growth of this nation.

I love the split screens that keep being shown of Alexi Lalas talking and a picture of him playing in the World Cup back in the day. Somehow I didn't think those jerseys looked completely ridiculous back then.

I won't argue that, but there were real reasons why some of the first English settlers came to America, due largely to the persecution and lack of freedom experienced by having a state church.

As I mentioned before, words often evolve from their original usage. Also, the letter was written with a clear agenda, which is fine, just something to keep in mind. Just this morning I read an article in the Chicago Tribune about my employer that was written with a clear agenda. While elements of it were factually correct, the context with which it was written was completely spun.

Here is the scenario for England going forward. Italy must beat Costa Rica tomorrow. Then England has to whoop Costa Rica and Italy has to beat Uruguay in the last game. 15% chance England goes through.
