Cool thanks. Figure I'd give soccer a shot and watch it tonight. My friends told me they started watching during the World Cup and got hooked.

That's how I got into it (although, technically, I stumbled on to the qualifications for the last cup and found myself hooked).

The best thing you can do is go out somewhere for one of the WC matches. Every town has some bars where soccer people will go...find one of them and go. All of the sudden it makes sense why you sit and wait for one team to score when you see people go nuts after a goal.

One of my best friends is a local HS soccer coach. I work him over about getting a real job in a real man's sport all the time. Wish I understood it better, but at this stage of life there are a dwindling number of brain cells available.

There isn't anything of real value going on with recruiting today that I have not read yet....I just wanna have a beer, watch some football, get a 5 star commitment, or SOMETHING today. The Braves are snake-bit when playing Boston. They can't get a hit when they need one. They forget how to field the ball (numerous errors) and they continue to allow the Red Sox to get big hits and have big innings. They've sucked this whole series.

We can't beat them even though they came to town riding a 10 game losing streak. Sad.
