New Braunfels and Gruene are really cool.
Rockwall is not. Plano is a concrete jungle full of CVS's and Nail Salons.
But you know whatever floats your boat.
I lived most of my young life in Oak Ridge (otherwise known as Peyton Place), would not wish that on my worst enemy.....:thud:
I highly doubt that.
Examples?
The goofball Perry's gone and with all the rain last summer, our lakes are full...and gay marriage...
Right there with you big, live right outside oak ridge, good view of windrock five minutes to town but can still have a big bonfire and pee off my porch without a soul seeing me. Love San antonio though all but like you said Spurs fans.So living a stones throw from the Clinch river on top of a mountain with a couple of acres of deer filled woods with a view of the Cumberlands and a half hour drive to Neylandis something you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy?
Yeah ok. You couldn't pay me enough to trade that for San Antonio where it is 110 everyday and crawling with Spurs fans.

Someone didn't get to sit at the cool kids table. Only explanation I can think. This area is beautiful. 4 seasons. Smoky Mountains for camping and hiking. Plenty of areas for hunting. Gatlinburg for skiing. If that's not good enough Boone, NC on the state line showcases Beach and Sugar Mountain. Countless lakes for fishing, jet skiing, or various other water activities. Beautiful women, historical landmarks and sites. And a good group of people that has yet to be polluted with all of the PC nonsense that goes on in other areas. There's a reason you hear the saying, people leave the area to make their money and most of them come back to retire.
