So you hang around to watch? 💩

Surprised the next guy isn't a little weirded out with you still being in the stall. 😷

Poor wording there on my part. After I leave the pile of hockey in the toilet, I'll walk out and imagine some guy walking in the stall and seeing that. I peronsally find it hilarious.

Are u 12? I've seen your work and I hate u

Best one was when I had eaten some almonds the day before. Walked in the stall and backed one out that looked to be over a foot long. You could see the almonds planted in the hockey. Yep, you guessed it, I didn't flush. Next man was going to have to break out the chisel and chain to get that dude down the toilet. I wouldn't be surprised if he threw up tbh.

Being a good Christian sometimes means different things to different people. Is this yer way of confessing?

Edit: I'm joking with you. No need to start hurling insults like you are sometimes inclined to do.

I don't wanna, but lol. You're just effing wrong...

Just remember karma is a bi**ch. or in your case a toilet explosion of epic proportions that goes terribly wrong for you.

And we'll be there to laugh at you.,, from afar, but there nonetheless.😷🤢😂

At least it wasn't corn. Bwaa-ha-ha. It's not funny, yeah it is, kinda. But just last week I had to take a leak that I had been holding right after I left Athens, TN back to Knoxville. Dude said I didn't want to go in there, I did anyway. 3 seconds later, I was gagging and 10 seconds later, I was behind the dumpster relieving myself. Yeah, that is so wrong

Hasn't been too bad. Changed the water out this past weekend. Cleaned the tub. Filled it back up. It took forever for it to heat back up. It slowly climbed back up to 101 where we keep it in the summer. It took like 36 hours to go from 80 to 101. Read on internet that the heating coil was probably out. Had a hard time believing this but I noticed in the user manual that it has a safety feature that shuts the heater down first if the temp gets too high and then the pumps if it continues to climb from friction in the system so that suggested to me that the water could heat up slowly even without a heater.

So I decided to make sure the heater was getting power and my trusty multi-meter told me it was getting 220V as it should. I then disconnected the leads and checked for resistance and it showed an open circuit which indicates a bad element. I then hooked it back up and checked for amp draw on both legs of the element and got very little amp draw, like .2 amps. I checked the amp draw on the mains to the hot tub just to verify my meter was working and it showed about 6 amps on each leg.

So.... Can the friction in the system heat the water? Is my element bad? Thoughts.

Unfortunately, I am not the best person to ask. I was never good in science. I have a pool, but we don't have a heating component to it.

I have just been told that they can be trouble. We have been in our house 9 years and usually have to spend some money on the pool every couple of years.

I volunteered to move here to one of the poorest places in the country to a small, poor congregation that cannot afford to give me more than about 80$ a month . I have always had to be bi-vocational to live, but me and my wife went from making 60g+ combined in our regular jobs to less than 30. I'm not in it for the money.

God bless you and your family.

While we argue about a clear cut rule that a poster can't interpret we should take a moment to say a prayer for the officers in Middle Tenn that seem to be closing in on that POS that killed an officer this morning.

Praying for safety for the officers and finding that bastard. And swift justice. Very swift

There are lots of COC people that believe if you aren’t a member of the COC denomination you’re going to hell.

Had this exact discussion with a neighbor whose dad was a pastor in COC and he said this was what was taught and why he turned his back on everything.

Told him to ask his dad when COC was started and what about all the people before then who believed in Christ? No COC so all went to hell. That my friend is like saying Christ work in the cross is not enough for your salvation. That is making a mockery of the cross and what Christ did. Might want to rethink those positions.

Actually you’re wrong. There are only two religions in the world when it comes down to it. They go by different names and have different systems, sure. But every religion in the world says that man earns his salvation or enlightenment or whatever through human effort. Name the religion, and it will be a system of human achievement.

This is a very shallow, ignorant take on other world religions, past and present.

1) Can the friction in the system heat the water? Yes, but very very slowly. Water drawn in thru the turning pump goes thru a thermal effect (heat) when it leaves the pump & reenters the the tub.... blah blah blah
2) Is my element bad? Sounds like it from what you describe. Run another test to confirm:
Turn breakers off @ panel to tub - Set meter to Ohms lowest setting (should be around 200) - Touch a meter lead to each heater element probe (doesn't matter which meter lead color to which heater probe) - between 10 - 16 ohms & element is good. Any other reading & element is bad.
You did do your amp test with the heat switch on, correct? Amp draw for each of the 110v legs should be in the neighborhood of 15-25 amps with the heater going. One side of the 110v legs will have a slightly higher amp draw with the heater on. That will be the leg the pump is wired to. The pump is required to come on when the heater is on giving that 110v leg a slightly more amp draw.

Thanks, man. I've done all those things and everything points to a bad element. The element had 240V testest at the element when I tested for amperage. I wanted to make sure it was on before I checked it. My meter is auto ranging but I had it on the 200 ohm setting when I tested and it showed "OL". I tested it with the continuity checker too and got no beep.

What really strikes me as odd is the tub is able to maintain 101° without a functional heater.
