Regarding this job: Does the state of Tennesee have a legal requirement that a job opening must be posted an open for a specific length of time before it can be filled/closed?

Don't recall a coach ever being let go and that position filled by the next day.

Doubt the replacement is announced tomorrow. Maybe next Monday after the coaches convention?

Good question. IIRC, Kiffin abruptly exited on the evening of Jan. 12 (Tuesday), 2010. Dooley was hired and introduced as the new HC on Jan. 15.

Foster is so unlikely it's not even worth talking about.

Shoop has had one of if not THE top D in the big 10 since he got there. Despite massive sanctions.

Did chizik have the top D in the acc?
