I don't think Dodd has ever liked us either.Listening to The Nation, Chris Low and Dennis Dodd were talking about the CFP. Apparently the AP rankings don't matter, it's who the CFP has ranked. Even though TN beat 5 AP ranked teams, those don't matter if they are not ranked in the CFP. Dodd does believe TN gets into the playoff.
OFFENSIVE
Hendon Hooker, QB, Tennessee![]()
- Playing his final game in Neyland Stadium, Hooker accounted for 405 yards of total offense and four touchdowns as the Vols went undefeated at home with a 66-24 win over Missouri. Mizzou entered the game with the nation's No. 13 total defense (304.1), and Tennessee set a school record with 724 yards of total offense.
- The 66 points were also the most ever by the Vols in an SEC game, breaking the previous mark of 65 on Nov. 26, 1994. Hooker was 25-of-35 for 355 yards and three touchdowns with no picks in the air. He added 50 yards rushing, a touchdown on the ground and multiple highlight-reel runs, including a 28-yarder.
- Hooker became the first UT player with 350 or more pass yards, three or more pass touchdowns and a rush touchdown in the same game since Tyler Bray did it vs. Cincinnati on Sept. 10, 2011.
- Moved into fifth place in UT career touchdown passes with 55, and he also rushed for a touchdown and passed for a touchdown in the same game as a Vol for the ninth time.
- Fired touchdown passes of 19-yards, 68-yards and 2-yards, while adding a 14-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
- Hooker moved into second place in the FBS in QB passer rating at 181.81.
That sack he took on 4th down sucked though..he had Hyatt running free to the middle, and instead of pulling the trigger he chose to wait on Keyton to get open deep, he didn't and time ran out, and so that sack was not on the OL...it was all on him.
I don't like criticizing Hendon, I love the guy, but he can't make those mistakes again against UGA if we are going to win...WRs running free happen way less often.
I want to be able to snow ski, waterski and wakeboard into my 80s if I choose to. I realized as I approached my 60th birthday that I had been overweight (for me, too high body fat %, not enough lean body mass). I have decided that I am leaving my fat 50s behind.
Body weight squats have been a great way for me to lose weight, gain leg strength and endurance without endangering my back. Back surgery in 1992.
Body weight squats allowed me to get in shape for a 60+ mile hiking trip in the mountains of New Mexico at the Philmont Boy Scout High Adventure Camp (with a 60 lb backpack). I did squats then with my backpack at 50 lbs. and body weight only. (Age 57.)
I have a rowing machine that I am addicted to as well.
I lift weights for upper body, but not as often as I want to.
I will not go gently into my older years. I’m going to fight, and play, and enjoy as much as I can. I have partners that tell me that they are getting too old to do the things that I do. They are all 10 years or more younger than I am! Giving up and giving in like that is how you age gracelessly. I just laugh at them. They want to fade away, fine for them. No way in Hell is that gonna happen to me. You act OLD, you get OLD.
Eff that noise.

No…. We don’t need that addressed at all…. We should have substituted earlier…. The rule already allows the refs to call a penalty on the defense if they determine the defense is coming on the field slow. Any changes to the substitution rule will probably hurt us more than help us.One rule that needs to be evaluated is the substitution rule while the play clock is running. I know that we substituted late (12-14 seconds left on the play clock) which allowed Mizzou to sub. They were smart in slowly coming on the field, but that has to be addressed. I am not sure why we did it late as I think Sampson came in for Small. I heard Tim Irwin discuss it on Hyams' show, too, and he said it needs to be addressed,
I’m going to send this pic to my SC fan friend and say this, “Here’s to both of us fully enjoying the game Saturday.”Guys, and @Weezer i've spent a ton of time, like 5 minutes deciding what I want to say here.
Took a sales training class on basically story telling using stick figures and pictionary type hand drawn graphix.
Well, I cant even draw stick figures. So here goes, sums it all up.View attachment 513935
