They could afford to play 2-deep, with man on the outside, and still have 6 in the box. It's a killer for this offense, particularly when we can't communicate at the line (or even in the huddle for that matter) to make the correct reads. We spread the defense out to get numbers in the box. We didn't have numbers. We take advantage of 1v1 on the outside when the opponent has numbers in the box. We couldn't take advantage. We go long when we have our guys alone on the outside. We missed.

No other defense that we will play can do that. Except maybe Ohio State if we meet them in the playoff. Even then, they just don't have the mutants that UGA does on defense.

We certainly won't have to play in the Decibel Orgy again for the rest of the season. South Carolina thinks they're a wild time, but we'll still be able to play our game there. In the bowl game(s), it will be a 50/50 environment.
Not to mention that GA fans will have to buy tix to the SEC Champ game too. On a neutral site I believe we will have more fans

Losing Small hurt us in pass protection and keeping Wright fresh as a change of pace. Also, several injuries messed up our rhythm and speed in the 1st half. This game was on Hooker and the Oline. I love him and he is great but he was seeing ghosts, couldn't pull the trigger, missed his long balls and didn't release and run like he needed too. We need to run to set up success and couldn't do it against their front 4, so they could continue to drop 7 in early downs and blitz in 3rd and longs. Tough day when they are that talented.

There were plenty of times where Hooker had time and a wide open WR and missed the throw. There were other times where he had time and made a bad decision or a bad throw. The similar instances where Stetson had time, he made a higher percentage of the throws in those similar instances. Hendon had a bad game, just admit it. It doesn't make you a bad fan to call a spade a spade. Yes he had worse cards to play with, but there were plenty of opportunities for him to make a play and he didn't take advantage of those opportunities as often as Stetson took advantage of his opportunities. Yes Stetson had way more opportunities, but still.

You know what, I'll bet you can't find a single throw Hooker made where the WR was wide open and he had time. Not a single one. The closest was to Hyatt early in the game, but Hyatt got separation then slowed down...which completely kills the timing on a 30+ yard deep ball and even that throw Hooker didn't get to full step into it because of pressure.

You carry water for the wish.com Baker Mayfield all you want my guy. But to act like the talent surrounding him ISN'T why he had the game he did is beyond stupid.

When they were constantly getting pressure by just rushing 4, I knew it was going to be a long night. And that's was without one of their best players on defense lol. Everyone else will have to bring at least 5, which will make our WR get open quicker. No one else has anywhere near the freaks UGA has one defense, so I agree, even OSU won't be able to stymie us like UGA did.

I didn't realize there was anyone on the forum thinking Hooker played well against UGA lol....In the game thread there were even calls for Milton (which I think is ridiculous). He just had a bad game.

Already starting the goal post moving.

I didn't say Hooker played well against UGA. I bolded the issue I have with your idiotic take.

Stetson was much better, regardless of talent around him.

**cough cough** side Note: he’s been throwing high the last couple of weeks

Who said that wasn't part of the reason? There were dozens of reasons he had a bad game. But when he had opportunities, he didn't take advantage of them as much as he usually does. You really think he was under pressure literally every single throw?

That throw to Tillman is a great example. He had time, he had the matchup, but he didn't read the DB well enough so he threw it out in front instead of back shoulder like he should have (or at least 50/50). That was on him. Had an opportunity for a big play and threw an INT instead. Pressure didn't affect that throw, he just made a mistake. Doesn't make him a bad QB, but you have to admit that was his mistake there to misread where the DB was in relation to the WR.

He was. If you take the number of times Hooker had a reasonable opportunity to make a play and compare it to Stetson's, Stetson made the play a higher % of the time. How else would you compare performances of 2 QB with a large talent gap of players around them? I don't think you're unbiased enough to have a complex, nuanced conversation that might involve saying something negative about someone you're a fan of lol. You're getting way too riled up over some really, really minor criticisms of Hooker. With all your superlatives and caps lock and even changing font colors, clearly this is a hot button issue for you, so I'm going to drop it.

Hey @MoCo_Vol its @butchna turns for an ass chewing now

He had to make the plays and he did. There were no picks sixes in this game. Our defense manned up in the second half but too little too late. He outplayed our QB. Using his LUXURIES effectively is not a negative.

You realize this proves my point...Tillman wasn't wide open. You seem to always forget the idiotic things you post, so I'll remind you.

I said show me a pass where the WR was wide open AND Hooker didn't have pressure.
