Everyone overreacts to week 1. I remember when Georgia jumped up from like #24 to #9 for beating an overrated UNC and then they proceeded to go 7-5.

Yep. Think they replaced us at that spot after our scare with App state. Georgia then went on to nearly lose to Nichols state. Shows how little these rankings mean early in the year

And had they lost by just 1, they'd be 40th lol. The overreactions to W/L rather than how teams play (power ranking style or how Vegas would view it) is silly.

Even ND dropped 3 spots after taking #2 (who everyone said, along with Bama and UGA, were worlds apart from the rest of cfb) to the wire and leading at halftime.

Then ofc us being 7 spots behind Pitt, while 7 pt favorites.

Hilarious how awful the pollsters are, but eh it's just entertainment outside of the CFB playoff polls.

This sets up to give TN an opportunity to get the program's first win over an AP ranked top 10 team since 2006 win over UGA. Been a long time but if UF beats UK, and vols beat the gators, it may end that horrible streak of losses to top 10 teams.

Good perspective here. This is quite an accomplishment. I'm torn between appreciating where we're at and also feeling slighted because I know we're better than several teams ranked above us.

It seems like they believe that Utah was a legitimate #7 team. I don't buy it. I thought maybe they would be good after they smoked Oregon last year, when Oregon was #3 at the time. I know it's a different year, but Oregon looked terrible. I wonder if Utah is a legitimate top20 team now.

I think this game comes down to OL play for both teams.

If we can pass protect and run block we will score a lot of points.

If they force a lot of tough 3rd downs it could be a long day.

On D we need to run stuff and get pressure.

OL play is key to this game.

That makes our accomplishment even better. Not only are we a top25 team, but it could be argued that we should be ranked even higher.

This team surprised most everyone last year. I know we're pretty good, but I just dont know how good. We could end up being a lot better than anyone thinks. Man, I really hope so. We're so overdue for one of those out-of-the-blue crazy good seasons no one saw coming.
