Many moons ago the cut off was Oct. 31 so with my birthday being October 1st I was always the youngest kid in the class.
Before that, the cutoff was December 31st.

And now, my baby girl is about to start kindergarten. My how the time has flown. Just 5 years ago, I remember sitting in the hospital room with her in NICU, waiting on Kamara to commit and wondering if Torrance Gibson was going to get a ride home.

Good times! 🧡

We played in a football tournament this spring and it was by grades. My sons team had an absolute STUD running back. Then I found out the kid is turning 14 this summer and in 6th grade!! Lol
Just played a grade based AAU Nationals (Basketball) tournament. 6th grade division had a kid dunking and about to turn 14 in 2 months. Made no sense.

Great food in Murfreesboro,Smyrna. Family friendly......go
The Fish House on middle Tennessee blvd. Jeff’s family restaurant (meat and 3) and it’s in the hood. Koji (hibachi to go). Wasabi (typical hibachi). Deezie’s chicken. All in Murfreesboro

Jefferson’s is good too right next to slick pig

Deezie’s closed down. Jefferson’s has the best wings in town.

We are starting my daughter who just turned 5 in June. She’s too smart to hold back.

That's what my wife said about my baby girl. She won't be 18 until she has a month of college life under her belt. Book smart as hell with 28 college credits already. But she's not ready for the real world. I'm sick over it.

My kid did the same at 6th grade, played a team from Kentucky most of them had a mustache. We had a hard time getting to the boards .

Any other East Nashville or downtown Nashville food suggestions.
Rosepepper Cantina in East Nashville is good and I’ve heard their margaritas are good, though I’m always there for lunch. Pepperfire Chicken is also over that way. Get it as hot as you can handle. And I know it’s been mentioned, but I can’t tell you how good The Pharmacy is.

If you want plenty of good southern cooking, hit up Monell’s in Germantown. The Cupcake Collection is my sweet stop. Also, I like B&C Market BBQ in the good court of the Farmer’s Market. Pork over grits. Mmmmm...

Tried a new spot in the 222 building downtown called The Green Pheasant. I would call it Japanese-inspired cuisine. Not cheap but worth every penny.

Which gets me to food downtown in general. Extremely overpriced and not near as good as offerings elsewhere. Nashville’s tourism boom has made everything down there prohibitively expensive. Take Jack’s BBQ for example. Go to the one on Trinity or Charlotte. Portion sizes and cost are way better than the one downtown.

Rosepeppers in East Nashville - Mexican but try the ribeye with chipotle shrimp

Emmy Squared in the Gulch - pizza place but might have the best burger in town right now

The Row off of West End - the pork shank is awesome as are the salads and the brisket (typically good live music too)

Von Elrods and Butchertown Hall both in Germantown for the meats

Hattie Bs in Midtown for hot chicken (don't go to the other locations)

Arnold's Country Kitchen on 8th Avenue is the best damn restaurant in Nashville for going on 40 years (family owned and working with the same recipes for all that time)

Also Hopsmith and Slider House in midtown are both very good. The Stillery in midtown is alright as well. Definitely should go to Germantown Pub if you like good wings and good beer cheese with pretzels. My favorite place to eat

Hopsmiths and the Stillery are in my regular rotation. Slider House is okay. Germantown Pub is always a safe bet.

So everybody else here started Kindergarten at 5 or 6? Am I remembering wrong? I turned seventeen my senior year during school but do remember always being the youngest in my class, you guys?
My birthday is in September. Started kindergarten at 4, graduated at 17. Always youngest in my class as well.
