I have been tired of hearing about some of our fans wanting Bruce back. That said, I heard a Memphis radio interview of Bruce about a year or two ago. It was well into his time at Auburn. Quite frankly, I was pretty amazed at what he continued to say about Tennessee. He really, really enjoyed being the UT coach.

He was on radio weekly in Nashville during his time out to sell groceries. He said UT didn’t have his back and felt like was thrown under the bus. He said some very nice things about UT too. He’s a showman.

To be fair, I would take Fulmer’s position too. I would pay Lanier more and try to make him happy, but I wouldn’t want to promise anything as a head coach in waiting.
